The Hero of Oakvale vs. The Hero of Brightwall

A short explanation.

Normally i would post the Next matchup for my tournement now which would be Ramses II vs. Xerxes I.
But I wanted to do something fun in between. Something different, something comical.
Then i got the idea. What Master of the boot is doing, is actually pretty fun to read and imagine. I will do the same, only my way. So now i will be doing fantasy matchups, dw style in between real warriors. With these fantasy style warriors, it is my pick who will win, altough knowing me, i will chose the most likely to win.

A few rules: the warriors will get the weapons they are most known for, or if in need, i will choose the strongest weapon that they could have had. The same thing goes for armour. If, like with this first fable match, you can choose between boy or girl, i probably will go for boy and if you can chose between good and evil, i will pick good, for the sake of the story. Sometimes, i will not stay with four weapons tested, feeling that more weapons bring an more balanced result.

For this first match, i have chose two hero's of Fable. One with armour and one with gunpowder. Both use magic altough the hero of Oakvale will have possesion of 4 spells and the hero of Brightwall will only have two since he can only use two magic gauntlets at the same time.

I hope you guys like it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Welcome to our fightclub After having done a lot of historical warriors, we will now use warriors from universes different then our own. The same rules, the same tests and the same computersimulation but with different warriors and different weapons.
Welcome to Deadliest warrior!
In our fightclub we have our old faces of Geoff Desmoulin, the karate blackbelt and biomedical scientist.
Doctor Armand Dorian, Trauma doctor and Medical expert and Max Geiger, our very own computer expert who will input the data and give us our simulations.'
The three faces are shown with some footage of several warriors, old and new.

Today, we have a fight till the death between two of Albions greatest hero's and blood relatives.
The Hero of Oakvake, the man who defeated Jack of Blades twice and became king of the Arena.'
(Footage is shown of a man in full armour of silver, fighting an horde of balvarines with his sword.)

And the Hero of Brightwall, who build up an resistance against his own brother, king Logan and became king himself. He then defended Albion against an demon from outside.'
(The Hero of Brightwall is seen, wearing blue royal clothing, fighting hobbes.)

Now we will find out who would win in a duel to the death. They lived in Albion, 500 years apart from each other, and now we will see who would win if they would fight each other to the death. No Rules, No Mercy, its a duel to the death. The deadliest warrior!'

'Each warrior brings an arsenal of deadly weapons and an duo of experts to test them.
For the Hero of Oakvale, these weapons are: the sword Avo's tear, the Murren GreatAxe, Skorms Bow, Arken's crossbow, his fists and Will magic. His armour is that of the very first Archon, steel.
To test these weapons, we have Guildmaster Weaver. This man has trained and guided the Hero of Oakvale during all his quests.'
An old man with a bald head and a white mustache and a tattoo on his forehead is shown, walking with a cane. He appears before the camera. 'I know that the boy will win in the end, i trained him myself.'
The next expert for this hero is Whisper, best friend and fellow hero of the guild. All the way from the south islands.
A dark skinned girl is shown, fighting with a staff. She appears before the camera. 'I used to call him farmboy, that is untill he defeated me several times. I am shure he will win.'

His rival has an great set of weapons also and even so confident experts.
This hero will wield the sword Avo's Lamention, the Dragonbone hammer, The Sandgoose, the dragon stomper .48 pistol, the Hero dog and Will magic.
The experts for this hero are Page, a female who lead the bowerstone resistance and played an important part in the attack against King Logan and the restoration of Bowerstone.
A black skinned woman appeared before the camera. 'I know that the Hero of Brightwall will be succesfull. I have seen him in battle and honestly, I was happy he was on my side.'

Also for team Brightwall, here is soldier and womanizar, Ben Finn. Ben also fought alongside the hero of Brightwall numerous times and is now second in command for the albion army.
A handsome young man with blond hair and military uniform, wearing a gun is seen inspecting a rifle and then appears on camera with rifle in hand. 'This is the reason why the hero of Bightwall will win. Gunpowder. It destroyed the Knight in his match against the Pirate and this match will be no different.'

Our experts are convinced, but what do our hosts think of this match?
Geoff takes the screen. 'Both warriors are great but I have to give this one to the hero of Bightwall. You don't take a knife to a gunfight.'
Next is Max who appears. 'It was an hard choise but i think that the armour and the magic of the hero of Oakvale will prefail.'
Lastly Doc. Dorian is shown. 'I will be curious to see how wounds will look like after magic powers, especially considering the fact that both are heroes and can take hits that would kill anyone else.'

'With the introductions complete, here we will go with the first test, the short range weapons. Each team has brought us a sword today.'
Both female experts came forward, Whisper was holding Avo's tear and Page held Avo's lamention. They both showed the swords to the three hosts. 'Whisper, you are first' Geoff said.
'This is avo's tear', she said as a beautiful sword was shown.
'Farmboy.. ehh Sorry, old habit. The Hero of Oakvale aquired this sword as he gave up ultimate power to save his sister. The old hero's deemed him worthy enough that he was allowed to use this sword. After that, He used it in countless battles, even in the battle against the dragon form of Jack of Blades.' She explained further. With that said, a clip was shown of a kneeling hero, recieves the sword from a tomb and then a clip of the hero fighting undead with it 'There is one last thing', she added. 'As long as the hero has this weapon equiped, his magic abilities and health will increase if he is weakend.'
'That sounds impressive' Geoff said. 'We cannot test the healing capibilities but we can test its lethalitly. We have here a gel torso and head. It reflects the density of human flesh. I want to see what kind of damage this weapon will do against an opponent.' Geoff said further. 'No problem, this thing killed Balverines with one swing, a human it can handle.' the woman with the green and blue outfit said as she stood ready before the torso. 'On my mark' Geoff said. 'Three, two, one. Do your worst' With the countdown expired, Whisper attacked the head. Decapitating the torso with a single swing. She then thrusted the sword in the chest of the victim. After Whisper was done, she looked visibly tired. Doctor Dorian was first on the scene, with Max and Geoff behind him. The other three heroes showed interest too. 'Well, with all my expertise, I can say that this guy is dead. First of all, you chopped of his head with one strike, which is an impressive feat. Then you impale the chest with the sword, breaking trough the ribcage and hitting all the main vessels, which is also a killblow. This guy is double dead.' The doctor finished. 'And you did it in one and a half minute.' Max added. 'That is nice and all my dear.' Page spoke. 'But I have an better weapon for the job. Gentlemen, I present Avo's Lamention.'
'This weapon is actually a sister to Avo's tear but appeared much later in history. This weapon is two handed, even more deadly then its sister sword and can deal shockdamage.' Page said. 'Many bandits have perished while fighting this weapon.' She added with a smile.
'A real deadly weapon then.' Max concluded. 'And how did your hero aquire this piece of weapon?' Whisper asked her opponent. 'Well' Page began. 'Suddenly her fellow expert appeared. 'He got it from a chest behind a demon door.' Ben Finn answered. 'A really grumpy one, for what i've heard.'
'Max is on the clock, expert ready?' Geoff asked page. She nodded while keeping a tight grip on the sword.
'Three, two one. Hacking him!' Geoff yelled. With the starting signal, Page swung the sword from left to right, cleaving open the stumach of the gel opponent. For the next move, she lifted up the sword in the air and hacked down, driving the sword from the neck in the chest. As it got stuck, the blade got a blue glow on it and electricity hit the gel torso. 'two minutes round.' Max yelled as Page was done. This time, Ben Finn was first on the scene, giving a high five to page. 'You can hold my sword every time baby.' he said. Page yelled angry at Ben and he quickly stepped back, letting doctor Dorian at the site.
'Well, with this first attack you went for the belly, ripping it open. Altough it is not an deathblow in itself, the intestents will drop out and you can die of it minutesl later. So i would say this is a delayed kill. With the second attack, you went for the neck and not only cut half of the neck, but also went into the chest, just above the heart. What is more is that the electric power that the sword holds, actually made the heart stop. These are two killing blows in one attack.'
After the high speed footage, the hosts argue on what sword is better. 'I really love the electricity that the lamention can do.' Geoff said. 'Yes but the tear has healing powers that work even if the sword is not in the body of an opponent. What is more, the tear is shorter and has less weight and it did his job quicker then its counterpart.' Max said. It was now the call of doctor Dorian on who would win this match. 'I love the lamention, the electricity it gave off was astounding. What is more, I have never seen a weapon that could kill in two different ways with one blow. But the tear is somewhat better. Lighter to use and quicker. Plus the healing factor means the winner.'
The edge for the short range weapons goed to Avo's tear.

With the short ranges decided, we will look at the long range weapons of both contestents. Team Oakvale will use another godly weapon. Skorm's bow, made of wood. While team Brightwall will show the legendary  rifle Simmons's shotgun. A steel rifle with tremendous power. First off for introduction is skorm's bow.
Weaver was seen walking towards the dw crew. 'This is the famed longbow skorm's bow. It is the single most powerfull bow in the whole of Albion and how much longer you draw the string back, the more powerfull it will become. This thing can kill an rocktroll.' he explained. Suddenly Ben Finn and Page walked towards them. 'I have heard that your hero peformed sacravises to gain this weapon.' Ben spoke. 'There goes your logic about the Oakvale hero not caring for power.' Page added. The cheeks of the old guildmaster became red but he kept himself stable. 'It was one small bad thing' he admitted. 'But it was for the greater good.' he spoke in defence. 'What do you guys have to offer us?' Max asked team Brightwall. 'Gentlemen, i present you the pride of the Albion. The sandgoose.
'The sandgoose is the most powerfull gun made and can take out a balverine with two shots.'' Ben said with a smile. 'The sandgoose is an mythical creature, so i think that the power of the weapon is exxagerated as well.' Whisper said.
'Enough arguing, lets go testing these weapons.' Geoff said.

With that said, the team heads to the shooting range
When the camera zoomed in on the desert like place Geoff began to speak. 'Mr. Guildmaster, if you want to go first. We have set up ten mannequins here and i want you to kill as many as possible within three minutes. Can you do that?' As answer the old guildmaster simply nodded and walked to the right distance. He saw that the mannequins were placed on different ranges and some were clusterd. One even was behind a wooden wall with only the leg peeking out.
Geoff counted down again and gave the command to shoot. The old man turned out to be very adequat with the bow and the first arrow flew straight in the chest of the mannequin. The next arrow took the head off, of one of the mannequins and soon all but one had arrows pointing out. The last mannequin was behind the wooden wall. Weaver aimed, kept the arrow cocked back for half a minute and just as Geoff yelled that the time was up, the arrow rammed itself trough the wood into the victim behind it.
'Let us see the damage you have done.' the doc spoke, suddenly appearing on the scene. The team, including Weaver walked towards the mannequins. By the sight of all the mannequins with arrows in them, Max got hyper. 'This one has an arrow in the throat, this one has one straight in the chest, another one in the chest, one trough the heart, one arrow in the face and this one has his head shot off.' the computerwizz spoke. 'This is indeed incredible' Armand Dorian beamed. 'This is the very first time that i have seen an arrow take an head off. Every shot is an kill and if those were real people, they would be very dead.' 'There is more' Geoff said suddenly. He was standing by the mannequin that was hidden behind the wooden wall. 'This guy is nailed to the wall.' Together with Dorian, he pulled the arrow out to see if the it was an kill shot. 'The answer was yes. The arrow had driven itself into the chest of the puppet, ripping open the chest close to the heart. 'What is more, the splinters from the wooden wall entered the body, making it an more painfull way to die.' The doctor explained. Ímagine needles in your body.' He put it.
With the bow test complete, the results were clear. All the mannequins were hit with an killstrike and half of them had two arrows in them.

Ben Finn came forward again. 'before you all get hard for the bow, it might be nice to let me show why the gun replaced the bow. He got what he wanted and new mannequins were placed in the same way as the last were and one of them was wearing Archon's armour. The same armour that would have been worn by the hero of Oakvale. Ben aimed his gun a few times and took an steady pose. On the command of Geoff, Ben started shooting. He aimed carefully and after four shots, he needed to reload the gun, taking seconds away from actual shooting. When he was up and running, he fired the sandgoose again. After repeatinly firing and loading, Geoff yelled time and the four of them went to look at the damage done. Most of the hits were lethal. Some mannequins had as much as four bullets in them while others had only one. A few bullets had missed target. For the bullets that had hit, all but one were kills. 'If you look at this one' Docter Dorian spoke while standing near the mannequin wearing the armour, 'you can see that this hit the chest. The armour does not protect against damage but merely lowers the damage. It could lead to internal bleeding but I am not very shure of that.'  'Overall, nine kills and one maybe, right?' Max checked. 'That is correct', The doc said.
After seeing the highspeed footage of both weapons, the team has made an decision. 'Well it turned out the Skorm's bow shot five arrows a minute and the sandgoose managed to get eight shots off in a minute.' Geoff began. 'That said' continued Max, 'We saw greater accuracy and range with the bow. Edge Skorm's bow.'
With the egde given to skorm's bow, the team prepares for the new tests. Due to the all the weapons being tested, there are four mid range weapons, devided in two catogories. Melee and ranged. First off, the melee tests.

Team Oakvale brings in the Murren Greataxe.

This  axe with an eagle as blade is perfect for chopping limps and cleaving trough body's. Whisper was holding the weapon while Weaver explained it. 'The origin of this weapon is unknown but it is believed that it was created and used by a man with godlike power. What is known is that this greataxe was used by Scarlet Robe, the mother of the Hero of Oakvale.' 'Wait.'  Geoff interrupted him. 'You mean that Scarlet Robe is family of the Hero of Oakvale?' Now the old guildmaster got a smile on his face. 'Yes. it is an fact that very few people know. Ofcourse, when the Hero trained under me, she was presumed dead and imprisond by Jack of Blades. There was no reason to make the connection.'

To test this dangerous weapon, we have invited a king of the Witchwood Arena, brother to Whisper, we have here Thunder. With that said, a few images are visble or Thunder fighting against bandits and the Hero of Oakvale in a cave.
Then the big man came in. He had black skin, like his sister, an afra, steel armour, an sword and a shield with the face of the Lion in it. As he came in, he walked straight towards Max. 'This is how a real man wears an afro' he spoke. He then grabbed the Murran Greataxe and started swinging it in the air.
He then walked with Geoff and max to a giant piece of meat. It came from a cow. 'Listen, it is your job to destroy this cow. I want to see if  it can destroy the spine and how much damage it can do in total.
The countdown came and Thunder started hacking. The attacks rained down on the meat and if it could fight back, it would not have stood a chance anyhow. When Thunder was done, he looked at the carnage. 'This is very impressive' Armand Dorian spoke as he put on his gloves. he felt the wounds and found them quite deep.  If this was an actual person, you would hit all the internal organs, ripping everything to pieces. What is more is that you actually managed to break the spine. Geoff added the little information that he had. 'Even if the blade of the axe does not kill you, the force behind it will. I measured 120 psi. You only need 80 for a killingblow.'

With the testing of the Murren Greataxe complete, it is now up to team Brightwall to show what damage their weapon can do. Their weapon of choise is the Dragonbone hammer.

This hammer, made of the vertebra of a Dragon is usefull to break bones and to crush skulls.
Testing this weapon will be Page. The team had set up three skulls of which one of ballastic gell with a pressure pad.
Before Page demonstrated the hammer, she showed how the handle was used as offensive weapon by tripping the opponent, hitting the stumach and hitting the face. She demonstrated it by using it against an foam opponent.
'Page, are you ready?' Geoff yelled. 'Yes i am' she answered as she stood for the three skulls. 'Three, two, one. Crush them!' Page lifted up the hammer, which looked like it was on fire and as it came down on the first skull, the skull got pulvarised. The second skull got the same fate and the final skull, made of the gell got ripped open, burnings marking the place of inpact. As she was done, the three hosts gathered. 'With these skulls, I can be quite simple. Two skulls are just gone and the third one has its head split open. What is more is that the movement of the neck indicated an broken neck and there are burning marks on the top.' Armand spoke. 'What is more is that the pad measured an inpact of 240 psi, the largest we have ever seen on this show. 'What was that of the fire suddenly appearing on the hammer?' Max asked. 'I forgot to mention that, the hammer can attack with fire adding to the punch. It is because of the augmentation. Augmentations made the electricity in the Lamention and the healing in the Tear' Page said. 'Augmentations are ancient old stones with power that can infuse it in a weapon.' the old Guildmaster added.
Now both weapons were tested, an decision was made. 'The Murren greataxe was really great, but the dragonbone hammer was incredible.'Max said. 'Edge Dragonbone hammer.'

Ben Finn walked with ease to the two female warriors discussing on an old kingdome issue. 'Lady's' he began. 'How about a double date. You two double date me!' Before any of the girls could answer, Thunder stormed forward and grabbed Ben Finn in a chokehold. 'You keep your filthy hands off my sister' He yelled at his opponent. He then released the young militaryman. As Ben stood up, he turned his attention to Page. 'Sorry my dear. It is only the two of us.' 'Not in a lifetime' the answer was as Page walked away.

Three tests are done and three more to go to find out who is the deadliest warrior.
Now comes the special weapon test, unique weapons for both warriors.
First we will test that what brings Team Brightwall to the table. The Dog of the hero. Just like his father, the Hero of Bowerstone, the Hero of Brightwall had an dog as compagnion. He used the animal for treasure hunting, spotting danger and as offensive weapon. It was not uncommen for this dog to attack opponents and bite opponents in the neck who were on the ground.
Page walked in, holding the dog on a leash.
To test this it, a foam torso was placed on a table. The job of the dog is to push it to the ground and bite it.
With everything set up, the team gave an go and the dog reacted, knowing what to do. he growled and jumped on the torso which dropped  on the ground. The dog then placed its teeth on the throat, leaving marks. As he was done, he walked away towards the familiar face of Page and Ben Finn.
'This man is dead' The docter said 'You see the claws here on the chest where the dog jumped up, that was just a miner injury, it would not hurt the Hero of Oakvale. But as you can see where the bitemarks are placed. It would puncture the lungs and rip the throat. That is a kill' 'Not to forget that this animal is an great diversion tactic. Suddenly that Oakvale hero would be attacked from two sides' Ben Finn added

Now it was the turn of Team Oakvale. Thunder walked up towards Geoff, Max and Dorian. 'I present you my fists.' He said. 'What?' Page suddenly askes. 'Your hero really is old fashion is he thinks he can handle our hero with his fists.' She said mockingly. 'Listen lady' Thunder spoke. 'Bare fist fighting is an very old sport. it was the very first principle in which all Heroes are teached and he became fist fighting champion, defeating all the opponent in four rings, scattered around Albion. When all other weapons fail, you must trust on your skill with your bare hands. Otherwise you are a worthless hero.' 'Enough bickering guys.' Geoff said. 'Lets test it.'
Another foam dummy was put up, with pads measuring the power of the punches.
As Max gave the sign, Thunder yelled and started punching the foam opponent. The first three punches came down on the face, two others landed on the chest and the final was an hammerblow against the temple.
After looking at the data that the computer collected, it was clear. 'The damage done by the fists was not that impressive. According to our data, the only kill was the blow against the temple and that was barely a kill. The other attacks would not do much and only knock the opponent out at the most.' Max explained. 'What we must mention is that if the Hero of Oakvale hits the nose, there is a chance that the nosebone breaks and the shards enter the brain. Then that would be a kill.' Armand added.
The three hosts agreed without doubt on the winner. The egde is given to the dog.

The next test is the second midrange test. The ranged one. Arken's Crossbow will be tested against the Dragonstomper .48
First off are the experts of the Hero of Oakvale.
'Gentlemen' Whisper spoke. 'This is Arken's Crossbow.
'It looks rather old' Geoff commented while holding the weapon. 'It is' was the response of Whisper. 'The old Arken made it after an opposing army attacked them from an ambush and killed all the compagnions of him. Arken made this crossbow from pieces of weapons scattered around the area of battle and killed all opponents. It found its way into the hands of the Hero of Oakvale, who used it many times in battle.

Now it was the turn of the opposing team to explain their weapon. For that team, there was Ben Finn.
As he walked towards the three hosts and Whisper, he held an pistol.

'This is the Dragonstomper .48' he spoke. 'only six of them were ever made. Five are in the hands of Reaver and this is the last one. It has six shots and is one of the most powerfull handguns ever made' 'That is untill modern times' Geoff corrected him.
The seven people made it to the desert shooting range to test these weapons.
'First off is Whisper' Geoff said. The girl nodded and placed herself before the mannequins. Again, three minutes were on the clock and as the times started, she started with firing arrows.
As she was done, the hosts checked the damage. Of the ten mannequins, nine were hit by killshots and one was unscaved.

Next up was Ben Finn with his Dragonstomper. He already had taken place before the mannequins and looked at them with the eye of an  professional. 'Ben, Are you ready?' Geoff yelled. 'Always' was the answer and soon thereafter he started firing his gun. Three minutes later he was done and all the mannequins had two to three bullets in them.
After both tests were completed and the three hosts had had studied the highspeed footage, the results were clear. 'According to the computer, the crossbow  fired only three to four arrows a minute while the Dragonstomper managed to shoot eight. The crossbow had the longer range, but that does not matter on a midrange distance. What does matter is that altough the Dragonstomper shot more times, not all hits were kills. With Arken's Crossbow they were, it was more precise.' Geoff said. The three hosts don't agree and argue on what weapon is superior. In the end, the more bullets and the quicker shots give the Dragonstomper the egde.

One more test to go before we we find out who is deadlier. The Hero of Oakvale or the Hero of Brightwall.
The last match up will be one of willpowers. The Will magic of the hero of Oakvake will be tested against the magic gauntlets of the Hero of Brightwall.
Now to test the magic abilities of the gauntlets, we have a special guest. He used to be king of Albion, the brother of the Hero of Brightwall. Here is Logan. An strong looking man with a little beard and black here came walking into the Deadliest Warrior fightclub.
'My brother will be victorious' he spoke. ' He has started an rebellion and taken my kingdom, he will not have a problem at all with a forefather.' His voice was confident and steady.
'Its an honour your highness' spoke the voice of Max. The man nodded and walked to the table to select two gauntlets. With those two, he walked up to the hosts to show them. 'Well, i wanted to let the Oakvale team go first, but since you want to start, why not.' Geoff said.
'These are gauntlets to reach the magic within the blood of our family.' He spoke.
From all the different gauntlets we have decided to use two. A gauntlet to create fire and an gauntlet to create a vortex of wind. I can also combine the two powers. Spellweaving. Finally with all thee forms i can target individuals or perform an area spell where i target an whole area around me.'

(all the magic abilities of fable 3. fire: 0.03- Fire/vortex: 0.55- Vortex: 3.55)

'Very well' Geoff said. 'We keep that in mind when we set ups the tests. Guildmaster, you are up now.'
Weaver walked up to the hosts and started explaining. 'What I am about to show you are the ways of the will. I and every of the old heroes can create will with the bare hands. There are a lot of Willpowers but I will concentrate on only four. Fireball, in which i can hurl a strong ball of fire towards the opponent, lightning, where I can attack up to four people at the same time with an lightning spell. Enflame, thereby fire erupts from the ground and lastly Ghost Blade. Four swords that appear from thin air to attack the opponent.' 'Sounds impressive' Max commented.

(all the spells of Fable. Enflame: 1:20- Fireball: 1:26- Ghostsword: 1:42- Lightning 2:01)

The Hosts and experts had already made it to the desert area to test the magic when the clips showing the magic in action were done.
Team brightwall was first with testing and as Logan walked up in the area were several dummies were set up as a group and one dummie  was a little distant away. Logan needed to cast an area spell first and then send an target spell to the single dummie. Three locations in the same way and Logan only needed to fire and walk to the other locations.
'Logan, are you ready?' Geoff asked. 'Yess!'  the answer came back. The countdown came and Logan started off with a firespell, sending a wave of fire in all directions. He then created an ball of fire in his hand attacked the lone dummie. After he was done, he walked up to the second location and Geoff yelled that he could go again. Now he created a vortex of wind and the dummies were lifted up by a strong gust and an tornado like wind brought them with it and dropped them on the ground. The targetspell send an mini tornado towards the dummy and dragged it with it. Pushing the dummie on the on the ground.
Lastly the spellweaving was tested and the tornado was now not only dragging the dummies with it but also fire. lastly a combination of fire and wind was send towards the opponent.
After Logan was done, the crew checked the damage. After seeing the damage, Doctor Dorian reported. 'The first group of dummies got severe burnings and an human being would burn to death. The Tornado looked kinda silly and the gust itself would not kill but the chance is that you hit anything that hurts you pretty badly and falling from the full height is enough to kill, if the opponent would drop.' 'also as opponent you would be pretty confused if you would be in such a miner tornado' Max interrupted.
'Lastly' The combination attack. Well you have the best of both attacks.when the attacks are finished, you are on fire and dropped from a great height. Not a pretty way to die.' He finished. 'What i did notice, it took some time before you could launch the attacks' Geoff commented.
'That is true Logan admitted. A fully powered up attack does the most damage and if I would have let it go earlier the attacks would be less powerfull.'

After that, it was now up to the guildmaster to show his power. For him were three locations set up also. One was identical to the set up of the earlier tests. A group of dummies, meant for the enflame and one dummie apart for the fire ball. Then there were four dummies near each other for the lighting and lastly a big piece of meat to test the ghostswords on.
After the countdown, the old guildmaster slammed his fist in the ground, erupting flames that attacked the dummies. He then loaded an fireball in his hand and as it was loading, high screams came from it. After the third scream, he threw it at the dummie. Then he used the will to speed towards the piece of meat and suddenly, four swords appeared, attacking the meat. While the swords were busy, the old guildmaster send electricity from his fingertips and hit the four dummies. During the shocks, the swords disappeared.
With this test done, the team checked the damage. 'Again from both fire attacks, severe burnings external and internal. The swords did great damage but it really takes a lot of those attacks the actually kill. Lastly the electricity, again it took some time before the opponent would die.' Dorian concluded.

Back at the fightclub, the hosts could not agree which magic was better, 'I go for the gauntlets' Max said. 'Okay, it takes some time to load it but even lesser attacks are attacks and all three spells could target a person and area. Also all those were immediate kills, opposed to the will.' 'I Cannot agree. Even though the swords don't kill with one strike, they are great diversion, four swords flying at you. The lightning stunnes the opponent and you really can cast a lot. The enflame and fireball were perfect. Even if they did not kill, you have knockback damage.' Geoff explained his opinion.
It was up to Armand Dorian now to decide which weapon was better. 'The gauntlets can get off the hands and would be ineffective then but the will powers can deplete. Personally, I would give the egde to the will. All the attacks that did not kill instantly were a great distraction and kept the opponent from attacking.' With two against one, the egde was given to the will magic.

Now all weapons were tested and all the edges given. Close range went to Oakvale with Avo's Tear. Mid range melee went to the dragonbone hammer of Brightwall. Mid range range, went to the dragonstomper .48 of team Brightwall. Skorm's bow was the winner of the Longe range test. The special test went to the hero dog and lastly the magic went to team Oakvale. With all the tests complete, only the computer can decide who would win in this legendary match between hero's.
After that was said, the fight began.

A man in a whole suit of armour walked away from the demon door into a forest next to it. The demon door had spoken that he needed to confront the future before it would open. What that meant, the hero of Oakvale did not know. He only knew that fighting was is speciality and he would win, there might be something special inside the demon door.

The hero of Brightwall walked to the forest. The demon door had spoken that he needed to defeat history before the demon door would open itself for him. He was king and the demon door refused to open, how terrible. Well at least did he have his dog on his side. The loyal compagnion never dissapointed him.
Suddenly, the dog growled, a sign that an enemie was approaching. As he took his rifle, the famed Sandgoose, an arrow hit the three next to him and he saw a man in armour similair to that there was in the Brightwall liberary. He walked up to his opponent and fired his gun.

The hero of Oakvale had attacked the intruder knowing this was the enemie spoken about by the Demon door.
His first arrow missed by inches and as he put an other arrow on his bow. The opponent fired an magical weapon that made noise. Three or four times, he only knew that he got hit in the side and it rather hurt. The hero placed the greataze he had against an tree and loaded his crossbow. Before he could fire it, he saw that his opponent was near now and had an shorter weapon in hand. He put the Arken's crossbow on the ground and collected fire for his fireball in his hand.

The King of Albion had switched his rifle with his pistol after he had noticed that the the rifle either missed or did not hurt much. Now he fired the weapon that Reaver was so famous for and fired all shots.
The bullets hit the target but did not bring him down, instead, an fireball flew at him and he was hit square in the chest. Knowing that loading the weapon would take too much time, he put the dragonstomper away and send a weak windgust towards his opponent to push the opponent off guard.

The wind forced the slayer of Jack of Blades backwards but now he knew he was dealing with another hero. Casting lighting, he managed to control his opponent when an dog suddenly jumped at him. The hero dropped to the ground and the spell stopped. The warrior pushed the dog off him and saw the other guy running at him with a sword. He pulled out his own and the sister swords collided. The Figting was intense and both warriors used the swords to full extend without backing down. The dog jumped on the Hero of Oakvale again, but this time, he knew to stay on his feet. The Hero was now under attack from both opponents, one with a sword and one with dangerous teeth. Thinking fast, he dropped on his knee and slammed his fist on the ground. The fire that erupted pushed both opponens back and as the dog attacked again, the hero could sidestep and slash the leg of the dog. The dog was put out of combat now. As he turned his attention to his other opponent, a huge fireball hit the Oakvale born and send backwards, knocking avo's tear out of his hands. As he stood up again, an tornado of fire soared towards him and picked the hero up. He was hoisted every possible way and finally dropped down on the grond, the fire burning his plate armour and his body.

While the Oakvale hero was stuck in the tornado, his Brightwall counterpart loaded the dragonstomper again and took the dragonbone hammer, aiming to crush a skull as soon as the vortex dissolveld.
The Vortex dissolved and as the Brightwall hero walked up to his opponent who was on the ground, the man lifted his and and four swords appeared out of nowhere. He knew this kind of spell but mostly the swords fired off in a direction and dissapeared. These ones stayed and fought. As he defended himself with his hammer, he did not see his opponent grabbing an greataxe. Just before it was too late, he saw him and was just able to dodge. The two fought with the heavy weapons with neither one getting an egde on the opponent. The hero of Oakvale dropped the Murren Greataxe that once was used by his mother and slammed his fist in the face of the opponent. The other hero dropped his weapon in shock as the Oakvale hero punched him several times ion the face and chest.
Trying to ignore the pain, the hero of Brightwall collected his wits and send an small gust towards his opponent. The gust pushed the guildsman enough backwards for the king to take out the gun. Then he unleashed the bullets of the dragonstomper .48 and the Hero of Oakvale was brought to the ground. Blood everywhere. The hero of Brigthwall took no chances and grabbed Avo's Lamention as he walked up to his opponent to finish him off.  He was tired and weak but did not dare to  As he walked up to the armoured man, he saw the man holding an very old and ancient crossbow. The Hero of oakvale started to run towards his opponent but the bolt flew towards him and pierced his throat. As he dropped down on his back, the sword landed in the grass and green orbs shot out of his body to enter that of his opponent. With the lifeorbs appearing, the Hero of Oakvale knew it was over.

Winner: Hero Of Oakvale.

After the fight, the data appeared.

Hero of Oakvale: 535
Avo's Tear:          130
Murren Greataxe: 112
Arken's Crossbow: 19
Unarmed              : 0
Will Magic            : 154

Hero of Brightwall     : 475
Avo's lamention         :113
Dragonbone Hammer: 121
Dragonstomper .48    : 122
Sandgoose                 : 35
Hero Dog                  :  5
Gauntlets                    : 79

Then max appeared on screen. 'In the end, The hero of Oakvale was victorious with 535 kills opposed to the 475 kills of the Hero of Brightwall. It was an close match with the will magic being the decisive factor. The best weapon of the Hero of Brightwall was his dragonbone hammer. Worst was the special catogory, scoring 0 and 5 kills.'

'I am suprised' Geoff said. 'I realy thought the gunpowder would make a difference but i guess that it did not work great on an hero and the fact that the gauntlets took a long time to be really dangerous was the undoing
of the Hero of Oakvale.'

'i  knew farmboy would win' Whsiper spoke. He just always 'wins.'

I am not suprised our Oakvale hero was victorious. After all, he did kill Jack of Blades twice.' was the comment of the guildmaster.

'Beh. We lost' was the comment of Ben Finn with a sad face. 'I guess that we have to seek be sorrow together' he said to Page, who answered by walking away.

Next time on deadliest warrior, we put both icons of their respective franchises together in a match. The notorious dark knight Batman will face off against the ice cold killer Sub-Zero. Who would win in a matchup to the death. And this time, they did meet before.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well I hope you all liked it. Dont judge me too hard, it was my first time doing this and i really need to work on my own style with this sort of Match ups. My next writing will be Ramses vs. Xerxes and after that the new deadliest fantasy warrior episode will turn up on my blog.
A special thanks to Master of the Boot. You made me enthousiastic to write this and i hope you don't mind.

Lastly, I wanted to do batman vs sub-zero before i knew you would and i want to continue it. I have already weapons in mind and i hope it will be different from yours.

The order of the Northerwind

De Orde der Noorderwind, English translation, the Order of the Northerwind is an Medieval European Swordart group of which i am a member.

Those who know me by now, know that im very fond of the medieval Knight and his weapons.
Let me make clear that medieval knight i am speaking of, is around the 13e century. In that time period, there was almost no platearmour, only the very rich could afford it. Most people wore riveted chainmail.

In our group we do shows, workshops and demonstrations. We also have made one movie and one trailer of a movie, of which the movie will come out soon.

First of all i want to show you two youtube clips of a show that we have given in the Netherlands.
Its an tournement show of the fictional World Knight Association.
The two clips are of fights, to give an impression on what we do.
Both are in English

This is the first one, you get skillpoints if you find me.
Hint: Shields dont have to be large!

This is the final match of a show a year later between the good guy (in yellow) and the bad guy (in white)

Now i want to show you one final piece.
The trailer of the movie: The last stand. Coming soon.
We're rather proud of it.

This one is in English.
It tells the story of a garrison at a castle that is being invaded by a dark knight and his soldiers. After several campains, the lord of the castle is mortally wounded and dragged back to the castle. Then the dark soldiers appear inside the castle.

Sorry but i felt like sharing this with you guys

Spartacus vs. Boudica

Two hated enemies of Rome fight it out to see who is the strongest of the two.

Spartacus Vs. Boudica

Spartacus
Spartacus can be called a culthero of both ancient and modern groups. He is the one who fought back, the one who kept on fighting against his oppressors and against all odds. Little is known about his life before he became a gladiator but most people agree now that he was an soldier who came from Thrace. Some scholars suggest that his wife was an seer, but little to nothing is known about his wife and historians now think that she escaped with Spartacus is the revolt.
On his capture, Spartacus trained to be a gladiator near Capua and fought there. In the end, Spartacus planned with several other gladiators an escape. Using kitchen knifes and other tools to break out of the gladiatorschool, they found gladiatior equipment in carts that should be transported. The Gladiators escaped and defeated an small force of soldiers that were send to capture them. They traded their gladiator gear with the better soldiers weapon and started plundering the region, taking all slaves they could find with them.
The army of slaves fought the roman army several times and I suggest that you should read on those battles yourself because they are very fun to read.
With the slave army hunted down in the end, Spartacus made on final stand and fough the Roman army. He probably was killed in the battle because there is nothing written down about him after the battle.  The surviving slaves got crucified.

This is a very short recount of his life and battles. I do suggest you read more yourself becayse it is very interesting. http://ancienthistory.about.com/cs/slavesandslavery/a/spartacus.htm
This is a clip with some screenshots of the 2004 movie with a great song to support it.

The weapons and armour
Spartacus had used both military weapons and Gladiator weapon. After thinking carefully, i have decided on giving him an combination of both weapons and the armour that he would have worn as gladiator.

For short range, his weapon will be the Sica. This short curved sword was used by Tharcians and in the Roman arena. In fact, this weapon was so dangerous that the Romans remade their armour to deal with this weapon. It was 16-18 inces long. The sword was only used with  the curve pointing downwards. This made it a weapon usefull for hooking shields and helmets. It also coudl slash with deadly force.

The Sica sword.

For midrange, the choise of weapon will be the Hasta spear. The Hasta is a spear was a thrusting spear used by Roman soldiers untill it was given to gladiators during Republican times. The Hasta was about 6 and an half feet long, with an iron tip and an iron barb on the other side. This last barb could be used as an offensive weapon and as counterbalance.

For long range, Spartacus will attack with the sling. You have all seen the sling on deadliest warrior. This weapon was simply a rope with an small pouch on one end. You insert a stone and with a good accuracy, you can shatter bones and if lucky, kill an opponent. It was a cheap and simple weapon to make and rocks could be picked up all around the battlefield. it is also known that the sling was used by the slave army, against the Romans.

Someone portraing the deadly art of slinging in Roman times.

The last weapon in the arsenal of this roaming gladiator is the dagger. The dagger was used by most armies, including the Roman and several gladiators kept on as a back up weapon in the arena. Knives and daggers were also the first weapon, the gladiators could find when trying to break free and this would have a special meaning for them. The dagger is short, great for upclose thrusting and good for cutting. This weapon would be  a backup weapon for Spartacus and he would only use it if he was unable to use his other weapons.

Lastly the armour. With armour, i have chosen for the Thracian gladiator outfit, the armour Spartacus would be most familiar with. I have chosen this outfit because it is unknown what spartacus would have worn before his time as a gladiator and during the revolt.
The helmet was broad rimmed, had an tall crest with a griffin on it. It also had an visor that protected its face.
He had leather protecting his swordarm, sometimes linen and lastly linen and greaves on his legs that reached untill his knees. Furthermore he had linen to protect his private parts and sandals.
Lastly the shield. The name of his shield was the Parmana. A small circulair or sometimes quadrangular shield made of wood.
This is a picture of a Thracian gladiator. The armour would have been used by Spartacus during his days as gladiator. Note the parmana on his left hand and the sica sword on his right.

X-factor
The x-factor for Spartacus is the fact that he was not going to be pushed around. Forced to fight on a daily scale, he decided to fight his oppressors and showed that you should not mess with Spartacus.

Boudica
This woman was Queen of the Iceni tribe. During the reign of her husband prastagus, he made a deal with Rome and Iceni became an independent ally of Rome. This was very common. When he died, his will said that his kingdom would be given to his daughters and partly the emperor of Rome. His will got ignored by the Romans who acted like they conquererd this kingdom. They flogged Boudica, raped her daughters and demanded a lot of money.
The enraged Boudica put together several Celtic tribes and attacked an settlement of dischard Roman soldier and the then 20-year old London.
Boudica and her army defeated the Romans in several battles, using their massive numbers. In the end, during the last battle, the Celtic army was unable to move good and use their numbers in their advantage, resulting in a crushing defeat of Boudica. Not much is known about her life after this last battle but it is presumed she poisoned herself.
To describe her, I will use a quote of a Roman Historian named Dio.

"...a terrible disaster occurred in Britain. Two cities were sacked, eighty thousand of the Romans and of their allies perished, and the island was lost to Rome. Moreover, all this ruin was brought upon the Romans by a woman, a fact which in itself caused them the greatest shame....But the person who was chiefly instrumental in rousing the natives and persuading them to fight the Romans, the person who was thought worthy to be their leader and who directed the conduct of the entire war, was Buduica, a Briton woman of the royal family and possessed of greater intelligence than often belongs to women....In stature she was very tall, in appearance most terrifying, in the glance of her eye most fierce, and her voice was harsh; a great mass of the tawniest hair fell to her hips; around her neck was a large golden necklace; and she wore a tunic of divers colours over which a thick mantle was fastened with a brooch. This was her invariable attire."
Dio, Roman History (LXII.1-2)

Again, I have kept most of the info short and vague to support your urge to research this warrior some more. Every warrior i use in my matches, no matter if they win or lose, deserve your attention and research because they are all great.
For this match up, i have decided not to give Boudica the chariot, simply because i have not been able to find evidence to support that chariots would be used in battle by her. All the info indicate that she used them to transport soldiers and weapons and to let her move around her army quick and speak to her men.
http://womenshistory.about.com/od/boudicca/a/boudiccatacitus.htm

This is a vid of Boudica explaining her life. Very fun to watch.

Weapons and armour
For weapons I have chosen some weapons that Boudica was known for using. Some weapons were known to be used by her army.

As short range weapon, Boudica would wield the Celtic longsword. This longsword had two sharp edges and an point. It had an leaf bladed design and was used with one hand. The Celtic longsword was expensive and would only be worn by the most rich and powerful warriors. As a Queen, Boudica would have used this in battle. The longsword could be decorated with patterns and would be around 27.5 inces.

This is an example of a Celtic longsword and scabberd.

As midrange weapon, Boudica will use the heavy spear. During my research i found several different designs of spears. My guess is that the form of the spear was different with every tribe. The spears do have something in common. They are all leaf shaped, indicating that the form was always the same.  the Spear was mostly 1.8 m long and had an steel tip. Several paintings and statues show Boudica in chariot with spear in hand.

This is an example of how the spear would look like and this one looks most like the spear she carries in all depictions of her.

For long range, Boudica would use the javelin. The javelin was a rather short and light spear, meant to throw at your opponent. It was very effective when used properly and i have found that this weapon would have been used in battles that she lead. Throwing this weapon first, then running into close combat.

The Special weapon of Boudica was the battleaxe. This was a large axe that could be used with one hand hand but also two. The was used because by leaders. This grand weapon should belong to a grand person. Axes were also used by woman who fought. It looked a lot like an axe that was used to cut wood and they would be used to it.

With the armour i can be rather short. As i already have quoted here, Boudica wore no armour. She only had tunic and mantle. She does carry a big wooden shield, covered with leather and an iron boss to protect her in battle.

An example of the Celtic shield

X-factor.
The X-factor of Boudica is her rage. The rage of her humility by her enemies and the rage to kill all who oppose her and defie her. She has been attacked by Romans and took revenge, everything that stands in her way or attacks her will meet her rage.

The egdes

Sica vs. Celtic longsword
- If you compare the two weapons, you see that one is curved and the other straight. The sica can be used only one way, while the Celtic longsword is more versatile. Also, the Celtic longsword is longer then the Sica, giving Boudica more distance.

- Weapon on armour, it is rather easy. Boudica does not wear any armour and Spartacus does. It is not much armour but it is enough to give some protection. Also the sica can be used to hook away or get past the Celtic shield.
Thus the Sica has a lot places it really can hurt and the longsword only has a few.

- With skill, it is harder. There is nothing to indicate how skilled each warrior was but i can get a very accurate guess. Boudica would have had training with the Celtic sword and would fight herself increasing her skill. Spartacus trained every single day, most of the day with his weapons. This made him a dangerous warrior with the sica.

- In the end, the choise is rather hard. The longsword is the better weapon overall, while the sica would be wielded with more skill by Spartacus and he had no armour to deal with. Both weapons would be very deadly in the hands of the user but in the end, i think that the fact that the sica could only be used one way and the fact that it is shorter is not helpfull in the match. That is why i give a small edge to the Celtic longsword.
Edge: Celtic Longsword

Hasta vs. Celtic spear
- The hasta is an good spear with a very good balance and two dangerous ends while the Celtic spear is longer and barbed.
If i compare the two weapons, i would say that the hasta is slightly better because it has a better weight and can be used more different in combat, Spartacus can attack with the buttend.

- If we would check the spears on armour, again the less armoured Celtic queen has a more disadvantage then the Gladiator. Both warriors were shields and this is were the weight comes into play. If Boudica hits the parmana, it takes a longer recovery time then if the Spartacus hits the Celtic shield.

- Skill, neither spear needs  a lot of skill to be used and both warriors would be able to use the spear with enough skill needed.

- In the end, the fact that the hasa has a counterbalance will be an huge advantage over the Celtic barbed spear. It can be used better to block and if the front end breaks off, the buttend is still a lethal tool. That is why i give my egde to the hasta.
Edge: Hasta

Sling vs. Javelin
- Both weapons are very different. The javelin can only be used once, or if the wielder has more of them, it can be used more times. The sling can be used as long as there are rocks and anyone who uses a sling, would always have some with them. It is interesting to know that both warriors knew the long range weapon of the other and would have had that in their own armies.
Both can be used with only hand hand, letting both warriors able to keep their own shields with the other hand. What matters in this comparison is that the sling would throw the stone with more speed and it is harder to spot. The javelin would be noticed more early.

- Normally, a sling would be hindered because the opponent would wear armour. Boudica does not wear any and has only her shield to defend herself. This would give the sling quick kill blows against the head. The javelin has some advantages here since the unprotected chest of Spartacus would be a good target and harder to miss then an head and has the same killing potential. But the shields are important too since the bigger shield of the Celt can protect her better then the smaller shield of the Gladiator.

- With skill, the sling takes more skill to be used good but i have no doubt that Spartacus had those skill. The javelin takes less skill and Boudica would be able to use the weapon with all skill it needs.

- This was an hard egde to decide because both weapons have pro's and cons. I feel that the sling is slightly better because it is able to use more times and can attack rapidly, making it hard for the Celt to attack herself. This is not a very big egde but the sling can convince me enough that it can deal more damage.
Edge: Sling

Dagger vs. Battleaxe
- Weapon on weapon, the dagger can be used for cutting and stabbing and is very quick. The battleaxe on the other hand is bigger and can be used to defend. The dagger really needs to close the distance to be effective and the only way it can be usefull in a fight between these two weapons is if the battleaxe misses. The battleaxe can kill sooner then the dagger and if it taked out the hand of the user, the dagger cannot be used at all.

- If we would test the weapons against armour, we would see that the dagger would go trough the skin of the Celt without much trouble. No layers of defence, only a shield. This shield will be very important because it can block the attack and push the boss against the hand of the user. This may force him on releasing the dagger. That depends on how hard the boss hits the hand.
The battleaxe has not much trouble. An hit against the helm would hurt the user and the leather armprotector will not be much of a defence. Also the shield is not very big and if Boudica acts correctly, she may be able to avoid the shield.

- Neither weapon needs much skill to be used and both user can use the weapons very good. On this part, both weapons are even.

- If i had to give an egde, what i have to do, my egde is rather clear. The battleaxe is bigger and can give more damage then the dagger. This is not an contest and the winner is also very clear in my mind.
Edge: battleaxe

Fighting back vs. Rage
Both warriors have used their x-factor succesful against the opponents they hate, the Romans. But these egdes are really personal bound and would not be that effective against opponents, they would not have an agrression against. It might be a bit effective because they both would fight back hard against anybody who attacks them. In the end, there is little difference between the two and i really cannot choose. I do know that neither x-factor will play an important part in the battle.
Edge: Even

Ready to Rumble:

The grass felt soft against the sandals Spartacus wore. He had left with his fellow slaves for Brittain a few weeks ago and yesterday, they finally arrived. As the others unpacked and made themselfs ready, Spartacus took some time off to walk around in the area, getting to know it. He was not familiar with this area and had taken his weapons with him just to be shure. His old gladiator armour because he knew this armour the best, his sword, his shield, some stones and his sling in a pouch and lastly his dagger. The dagger was the first thing he had in his hands during the revolt. He always kept it with him to remind himself of the freedom he had aquired and that he always needed to fight for it. From the chariot appeared a woman. Red hair and very big. Spartacus knew that woman could fight and be very dangerous opponents, he was prepared for the worst.

Boudica raced trough the landscape. The horse was fit and the chariot was just repaired. She heard some Roman soldiers had entered her lands and she wanted to know where they were and how much of them. That way, she could think of a strategy to attack those bloody Romans and kick them out of the land.  Her land.
Altough she was merely scouting the area, she did have had her weapons with her. Her longsword was her her side while the battleaxe, the spear and the two javelins lay in the chariot, just as her shield. As the horses got pushed forward by her guidance, she noticed a man, half armoured and walking towards her. 'An enemie' she grunted. As she  stopped, she saw that the man prepared for fighting and as an result, she took her own shield and javelin. Then she stepped out to destroy this opponent. Nobody messes with Boudica.

Spartacus started throwing stones with his sling, forcing Boudica on the defence. All the stones hit the shield of the Celtic Queen but before she could attack back, the ex gladiator had loaded and thrown a stone again.
Spartacus had a lot of stones  in his pouch and saw several on the ground if he ran out of his. As the stones hit the large shield, Boudica saw her chance and threw a javelin. Spartacus saw the weapon coming in and could easily dodge it. Altough the javelin missed, the Iceni queen grabbed her battle axe from her vehicle and blocked another stone with her shield. She then walked towards her opponent.
The Gladiator saw how his stones proved to be ineffective against the shield and now his opponent was walking near, he needed an change of plan. He dropped the his sling and grabbed the hasta from the ground.
He blocked an attack with his hasta and tried to stab his female opponent, without much succes. She avoided an first jab and blocked the second. She then attacked with an slashing attack from the side, the parmana blocked the attack but the axe slipt beneath it and hit the greaves of the male warrior. Spartacus tried to stab again but the big shield blocked the attack and before he could attack again, Boudica hit the hasta spear with her axe and forced the weapon out of the hand of the user and attacked the helm.
Spartacus felt the pain and ringing in his ears as he took a few steps back. He blocked an slash with the axe with his shield and drew his sica. The sword and axe clashed as both weapons attacked again, hitting the shields. Spartacus waited for an attack from Boudica, that came soon. Instead of blocking, he stepped to the side and hooked the axe away with his curved weapon. As the female warrior let go of the weapon, she drew her longsword and blocked another attack with her shield. She then tried to hit the other warrior with her sword, only to see that the weapon hit the small shield. They both gave each other an angry look and Spartacus attacked again. The shield went in front of the female warrior and Spartacus used that to hook the shield and pulled the shield and the warrior towards him. She quickly let go of the shield and blocked another attack with her sword.
As she knew the way her opponent attacked, she parried another another attack, close to the crossguard and pushed the weapon away and slashed the big man in the chest. He was just able to step away and recieved a minor cut on his chest. Spartacus blocked another swordslash with his shield and used his curved weapon to slash at her. The curved blade ripped the tunic half open and as Boudica attacked again, Spartacus blocked the attack with his shield and gave with the elbow of the same arm an hit in the stumach of the woman. He then punched her with his shield in the face She cried in pain and stepped backwards a few times, heading for the chariot.
Spartacus walked towards her and he slashed again. Boudica ducked away and the sica hooked the side of the chariot. The plan of Boudica had worked and before the man could unhook his sword again, she slashed downwards with her blade. Spartacus was forced to let go of the weapon and jumped backwards as Boudica tried to stab her opponent. Another slash from Boudica and her longsword got blocked by the small shield and before she could move, Spartacus slammed his fist against her swordhand, forcing her to let go of the sword. He then slammed his fist in her face, breaking her nose.
Boudica fell on the ground and Spartacus droppes his shield, wanting to use both fists to finish he fight. As he came close to her, she appeared again, holding a spear. Spartacus cursed inwards because of the fact that he had dropped his shield had to step backwards to avoid an attack that teared his side. It was an nasty wound and Spartacus feared the worst. Boudica was happy with this turn of events and stabbed again only to see the attack miss. Spartacus walked backwards, with one hand holding the wound. As Boudica followed him, the former slave dropped to one knee. Before the red  headed female could get into range, Spartacus rose again. He had quickly picked up his sling and a rock. As Boudica neared, he let go of the stone and it hit the head cheek of the female. The inpact was not enough to kill but Spartacus could step past the spear, his dagger in hand and stabbed his opponent with a lowhand stab in the ribs.
Spartacus pulled the dagger out and Boudica fell to her knees. The spear falling out of her hand. My people, she thought. After that, she landed facedown in the grass.

Winner: Spartacus

There are two reasons why Spartacus would win in my opinion. Those two were almost evenly matched but the two reasons that made Spartacus win are:
 1. the fact that he trained day in and day out with all his weapons making him better trained then in the arts of war then his opponent.
2. Spartacus wore armour. It was not much armour and nothing compared to the more armoured warriors but  a bit armour is better then no armour altogether. This was an great advantage of Spartacus.

As i said before, the battle would be very close and the weapons in the arsenal of Spartacus that would give the most kills would be his Sica sword and hasta spear. He trained a lot with such weapons and know how to use it to his greatest advantage.
The most kills of Boudica would be her longsword and battle axe, two weapons to be reckond with, but i fear that is just not enough to deafeat this strong opponent.

Next match up will be between the Egyptian Faraoh Ramses II, famous for the battle of Kadesh and Xerxes I, Ruler of Persia and attacker of ancient Greece. This will be a battle between warriors and their chariots.

Hannibal Barca Vs. Genghis Kahn

After my first fight, I present this second fight to you. Both warriors armed to the teeth and ready to go. This match up is not debated as badly and in my opinion does deadliest warrior not have any reasons to tweek this episode. I have been able to deduce some weapons within this matchup due to a photogallery on the DW site of the first day of shooting. This helps me a lot because i actually come closer on getting a more accurate guess.
Also to note, as monopolyman hinted to me, Hannibal will be unable to steer his elephant and use his weapons on the same time. That is why this match up will be two on two. Hannibal has his African elephant in this battle, sitting on a platform on top of the elephant and Genghis has his mongolian horse. A rather small horse that had amazing stamina. I have also decided not to write down the lifestory of the two warriors because of a few reasons. It is really some work, sometimes you cannot write certain battles of dates of importance, which is really an sad thing and lastly, i have no idea if you guys acutally read it.
What i will do is this. I will write a little bit about the warriors, something important or good to know and i will post a link to a site which can give more detais about the warriors.

Hannibal Barca
Hannibal saw his father, the military leader of Carthago lose the the Romans and swore revenge. He got the revenge. This man collected mercanarys and enemies of Rome under one banner and wanted to destroy Rome.
He was very famous as a tactical genious, being able to use his men to great advantage, even though most of them were mercenary's. He was succesful in beating some outstanding Roman generals. Hannibal always made shure that the battles would be in a terrain of his choosing, making the battle already won before the fight started.
His most famous fact, bringing elephants over the alps to use. Altough only a quarter of all these animals survived the trip, those were enough for some sweet victories. In the end, he got beaten by two Roman generals. Fabius, who used a shadow war to inshure Hannibal lost supplies and spirit and finally Scipio. At the battle of Zama, Scipio used the tactics of Hannibal against him.
Did i get you curious about him, read this http://www.factbehindfiction.com/index_files/hannibal.htm

Weapons and Armour
I could take the armour and some weapons of Hannibal from the DW website. For short range we have the falcata. The weapon is a steel curved sabre with one edge. It has a sharp tip and could be used for thrusting. Top heavy and great slicing cabilities. This weapon was used by both heavy infantry and light infantry and could crush helmets and cut shields. The Falcata: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Falcata_%C3%ADbera_(M.A.N._Madrid)_01_vertical.jpg

The second weapon will be the javelin. This throwing spear was used heavily to drop spears from the elephant on the opponent, which due to the downwards drop was very effective. It could also be used as spear if neccecery but i have found no evidence to support it. i say it only because i can imagine this use.

The ranged weapon of Hannibal will be the short bow. This bow was used from elephants and altough they did not shoot far, the bow had great power. Also the downwards movent because of shooting from the back of the elephant gave the attack more force.

The last weapon of Hannibal is his elephant. This big African animal can crush you with his feet and can knock an horse over. If an elephant goes on rampage, it will be devastating, but the devastation can also turn to the user. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Schlacht_bei_Zama_Gem%C3%A4lde_H_P_Motte.jpg picure showing both the bow and the javelin used from horseback. Note that this is an artistic impression and that those are the wrong elephants. These are Asian instead of African.

The Armour of Hannibal consists of a  bronze chestpiece that also covers a bit of the upperarm. Leather and linnen hangs under it to protect the groin area and the legs are protected by greaves. The helmet is similair to Roman helmets, that protect the ears and neck. It is finished with a nasal. Ofcourse, Hannibal will be using a shield. The Caetra is actually a big buckler, with boss but it has been used alongside the falcata.

X-factor
The x-factor of Hannibal is the fact that he used the terrain to his advantage. He would always make shure that battles were fought under his terms and on a terrain of his choosing. This has proven very succesful for him and he has defeated many opponents using this tactic.

Genghis Kahn
Genghis was born as the second son of a Tribal leader. His father got killed by poison and the new tribal leader threw him, his mother and his brothers and sister out of the tribe. They became outcasts and soon after, Genghis, or Termujin (as he was known in the time) had to kill his own brother.
He managed to create a tribe from outcasts and started taking over other tribes. When all the tribes were his, he started conquering China and later Europe and the middle east, untill he was finally killed in his own tent. The Mongols relied heavily on the horse and the whole army existed only out of horseachers. It is said that the mongols could ride before they could walk and were able to shoot arrows while the horse was running in opposite direction. Mongols always carried three quivers with fifty arrows each, making the total of arrows that were carried to battle 150.
Some fun facts, he conquered the most of the world, even Alexander the Great did not conquer as much as Genghis. Lastly, 0.5 procent of the world population is related to him.

Weapons and armour
Genghis too, will be wearing weapons and armour. The short range weapon of Genghis is the Mongol sabre. This curved blade was great for hacking and slashing and had some stabbing abilities. One handed and could be used both on foot and on horseback. http://www.google.nl/imgres?imgurl=http://ryanwolfe.weebly.com/uploads/1/5/5/6/1556620/2728629.jpg%3F212x155&imgrefurl=http://ryanwolfe.weebly.com/weapons.html&usg=__upAcHuesJWLCf8M8pf7d4r-rj0g=&h=168&w=228&sz=12&hl=nl&start=0&zoom=1&tbnid=1Jhb64-sxhLHzM:&tbnh=134&tbnw=182&ei=uFrnTYv9NYXqOYfe0MIJ&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dmongolian%2Bsabre%26hl%3Dnl%26biw%3D1366%26bih%3D667%26gbv%3D2%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1&iact=rc&dur=229&page=1&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:1,s:0&tx=113&ty=70&biw=1366&bih=667
The Mongolian Sabre

The Midrange weapon of Genghis is the lance. It was an rather short spear, good for attack opponents from horseback. The lances also had an hook to hook the opponent from horseback to the ground. Genghis formed an part of his army as lancemen who was to charge the opponents and either kill them or knock them off horse. It was an very effective weapon.

The Long range weapon is ofcourse the Mongolian bow. This composite bow was small and light, being able to be fired from horseback. There were several kinds of arrows, all with their own uses but i will deal with only one now. These arrows had an iron tip and could be shot as far as 200 m. Genghis have been trained since childhood with the bow and arrow and it will be his best weapon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsKEVIsc_gM To get an impression of the mongolian bow

The last weapon, in the special catogory is the flaming arrow. I saw pictures on the DW website indicating that those will be used by Genghis and i think that it will be his special weapon. The firearrow has a hole in the arrowtip in which a cloth could be stuffed and lighted. The arrow would flame up as it was shot and got a flameburst as it landed. I expect the arrow to do mostly spookdamage.

The Amour of Genghis is an leather breatplate, covered with lacquer. Under the Leather was a silk undershirt. The lacquer on the leather prevented arrows from penetrating the leather. Even if arrows would penetrate, the silk would make shure that the arrows did not harm the body much and could be pulled out with ease. Over the breatplate, the Mongol warrior would wear an fur coat to protect against the cold and it could hold off some blows.
The helmet was made of iron, with leather to protect the ears and neck and fur. Most helms also had horsehair on top.
Finally the shield. Genghis would have had an wicker round shield, covered with leather and lacquer.

X-factor
The x-factor of Hannibal is his usage of horses. As i have said before, the Mongol warrior relied heavily on the horse and they could ride before they could walk. The horse was the best friend of the warrior. Due to the close contact, there were little habits like making a littke cut on a horse to drink its blood to get energie or bigger things like shooting arrows from hard positions and using tactics that suit horsefighters best.

Weapon Testing

Falcata vs. Mongolian Sabre
- Weapon on weapon, i really see no difference between the two. Both weapons are curved steel blades, ideal for slashing but with thrusting abilities. both blades are just with only one hand and the warriors have a shield in the other. Both are the same lenght and both are deadly.

- Weapon on armour, not much changes. Both warriors have full sets of armour and shields with only the face unprotected. I do not see the Mongolian sabre cutting trhough bronze and due the liquid, i have my doubts that the falcata will go trough the hardend leather. To make things worse, both warriors carry an shield. Again, as weird as it sounds, both weapons are the equal of each other.

- Finally skill. Both warriors get credit for being skilled with this weapon. Genghis can use his sabre on horseback, but i doubt the sword will be effective on the skin of the elephant much. Hannibal cannot reach his opponent with his word from the elephant but on the other side, he also cannot be reached by Genghis in a sword duel.

- After considering carefully, taking everything into account and looking at the bladed, I give an slight egde to the falcata. This is only based on the design that can thrust a tiny bit better and has just a tiny better ability to slash behind shields. Note that this is minimal and will not have that much of an effect on the warriors.
Edge: Falcata (slightly)

Javelin vs. Lance
- Both weapons are made of wood, with an iron tip for the Javelin and a steel tip for the lance. The javelin was thrown from the elephant and altough all sources that i studied indicated that they were thrown in quick succesion, no indication on how many javelins were there per man were given. I will assume three to four javelins. They would be thrown downwards, increasing the speed and power, similair to the bow.
Javelins were usually thrown but in a last sort of defence, could be used for stabbing.
The lance was a weapon to take either the opponent off horse, like the european knight did, or go in for a death stab. The Lance was mostly useful on horseback but could be used on foot if there was no horse. The stabbing power was immense. On the other hand the Javelin is prone to miss, especially with the agile horse running around. The Lance will work some better, being able to reach up to above the elephant to hit the warrior on top or hook him away. Those attacks have less damage but still can push an opponent off the animal. If the opponent is on foot, there will be more likely a kill.

- I do not see the javelin being able to penetrate the lacquar leather amour of the Mongolian and if is does penetrate, Genghis will have the silk undershirt for protection. The only open targets are the limps and the face, which is really hard to hit.
The lance has more killing potential as i feel that with the added speed of the horse, it can actually penetrate the arnour of Hannibal. it also can hook Hannibal to the ground and finish it off with a stab then.

- Both warriors were skilled with the weapons and could very well kill with it. It is to note that Genghis would mostly let he lance be used by heavy calvery and not using it much himself, but he introduced it into Mongolian warfare and he shure knew how to use it. Hannibal would have used the javelin since childhood, practising by hunting and killing animals and in games. Due to the massive training with this weapon as kid, he would have been most accurate.

- In the end, I feel that even though Hannibal was accurate with his javelin, it would not match up to the armour and both the stabbing and hooking power of the lance.
Edge: Mongolian Lance

Shortbow vs. Composite bow
- Weapon on weapon, i think the egde is obvlious. The mongolan can shoot his arrows a lot further, going at a range of 200 m, but the shortbow will not go as far. My guess is, that from the elephant, it will get a 50 m top.
Not only has the composite bow the greater range, this bow has more power.

- Now comparing these bows to armour, it is my prediction that the Mongolian composite bow will not be able to penetrate the armour of Hannibal. The bronze armour will prove too usefull to any attack. With that said, i also do not believe that the shortbow arrows can penetrate the armour of Genghis, leaving just as with his opponent, the face and arms to be hit.

- with the skilltest, it is an different story. Hannibal would have been an pretty accurate shot with the bow, being able to hit opponents from the back of the elephant. But Genghis is known to have trained with the bow and arrow since childhood Genghis would be an master horse archer and would be able to hit an target with exellent precision.

- The edge is obvlious here i think. Genghis had an more powerful bow with more range and had more skill with the bow. That is why he is getting the egde.
Edge: Composite bow

African Elephant vs. Fire arrows
- The elephant is an big and strong animal that has a strong hide, but also has the ability to do severe damage. It has a strong slurf that can knock someone out and even kill if there is enough power behind the slam. It can also use its massive feet to destroy an opponent, breaking the bones of the victim and i think that the hart will even pop. The fire arrows won't do much damage to either the elephant or the warrior but will mostly spook the elephant. This had been shown and proven in history as an very effective methode to scare the elephant. A scared elephant can start rampaging in which he will be a danger for the user, or flee the battlefield.

- With elephant against armour, i can be quitte clear, the armour will be pulvarised. The armour of Genghis cannot defend against the crushing power of the African elephant. The fire arrows on the other hand, i doubt that they will be effective. The arrows might hit target but the heat of the arrows will burn the skin together again. The heat also will not be enough to melt the armour of bring in enough heat to burn the warrior inside. It might have been useful when the grass catches fire and burns the whole area, but that chance is quitte small.

- Skill. Hannibal has much skill using his elephant. He was able to bring some elephants over the alphs and fought with the elephants. He knew their strong points and their weaknesses and would be able to steer the elephant or fight from its back.
Genghis would be as accurate with his fire arrows as with his other arrows. So his skill has already been explained.

- Well, in my opinion, the elephant is just more effective in battle then the fire arrows. It can start rampaging but then both warriors would be in peril. The fire arrows are great at spooking but killing, not so much while the elephant can destroy armour and the body.
Edge: African elephant

X-Factors

Use of terrain vs. Horsemastery
We have Hannibal who uses terrain to his advantage. He will do anything to get the right terrain and with that win the battle before it is done. Then we have Genghis, who is an horsemaster and can use the horse to his biggest advantage, knowing every tactic to use the horse. This was really hard to decide on, but in the end, i have to give this edge to Genghis. With the terrain, your battleplan can get messed up if anything goes awry. If you somehow cannot reach your terrain or if the opponent knows how to use it too, you have a problem.
being a master horserider is something that is inside of you and will always, under all circumstances and in all terrain come into play, that is why it gets the edge.
Edge: Horsemastery

Let em rip!

Hannibal watched the man who steered his elephant over the plains. It was an old soldier who had fought with   Hannibal for a long time and was used on controlling elephants. It was just recently that the general from Carthage had promoted this soldier to guide this elephant. The elephant used by Hannibal himself. Hannibal wanted to do some training with the elephant and the soldier to get more feeling for each other. All the war gear was loaded on the platform on which the two warriors stood and the two men themselfs were also dressed for battle. Hannibal was wearing his bronze armour and his soldier was wearing chainmail. The two rode on the African warelephant and made it to an hilltop where they would have full view of the area. Suddenly the sound of horses came near and Hannibal saw two men riding their horses towards them. 'This is going to be trouble' Hannibal whispered to the soldier, who nodded. Then the elephant made its way towards the hilltop again, aiming for the high ground.

The horse of Genghis Kahn rode over the plains. He had been bored and had decided to go scouting for a new area for the tribe to put camp. His generals had demanded that Genghis would take someone with him and not leave on his own. After a while of hassing from one of his sons, he decided to take a soldier with him. The man he had taken, always used a lance during fighting and he had been with Genghis since the start of the great Mongol empire, such a man would prove useful if there was any danger. The two rode on, untill they noticed a big elephant in the opposite direction. We have to take him down, was the first thought of Genghis. This leader knew that he had to send an good message to the people here so they would be left in peace. Taking down the elephant and its riders would deliver the message. Genghis did not need to say anything to his subordinate, the man understood the movements he made with the horse as they neared the elephant.

Hannibal had taken his shortbow and started shooting at the two horseriders. The arrows missed the agile horses and the Mongolian riders split up, one a side. Genghis took his own bow out and started firing. The first arrow landed in the side of the elephant but did nothing to hurt him, the second arrow landed in the wood platform and another few either were just a bit too high or hit the armour and bounced off.
Hannibal had now dropped the bow and taken an javelin and his shield. Hannibal Barca threw his first two javelins at Genghis but failed to hit the Mongolian Kahn. A third javelin flew past Genghis and as the general was about to throw his last javelin, he felt something next to his foot and was just able to step away from the other Mongolian warrior who had tried to hook Hannibal away, using his lance. Hannibal threw his last Javelin at the man and the throwing spear hit target. The Mongolian was knocked off his horse and fell on his back in the grass. As Hannibal watched, the soldier from Carthage made the elephant step on the warrior. As the elephant stepped with his foot on the Mongolian, the soldier fell how his ribs broke and his longs got crushed. After a few seconds his heart popped and Hannibal spoke 'One down, one to go'
After seeing his loyal soldier get crushed Genghis wanted revenge. He rode next to the elephant and noticed that nobody paid attention to him. He shot his bow, hitting the soldier who steered the elephant in the throat. The man fell backwards and rolled off the elephant, landing in the grass.

Hannibal saw how his just promoted soldier died by the arrow and fell of the wooden plateau. He quickly replaced the man and forced the African animal towards his opponent. Genghis took some distance as the big animal came towards him, aiming to hit the Kahn with his trunk. Genghis took his fire arrows and quickly lid them as he fired the arrows at the feet of the elephant. The elephant got spooked by all the fire that came down at his feet and stopped the attack. Instead, he tried to escape the fire and turn backwards. Hannibal had some trouble, getting the elephant back on tracks. As the military leader was struggeling controlling the beast, Genghis launched himself from his horse and made his way to the platform. As he was there, he took his curved sabre and his shield while Hannibal, who had finally been able to control the animal, saw his opponent close to him. He took his falcata and Caestra buckler.
The two men clashed arms and fought in an heated battle, wanting to kill the other. There was a constant sound of metals clashing as the swords came into contact with each other, the shields or the armour. The two warriors dealt harsh blows to each other and neither of the two warriors was able to get the upperhand in the battle. The two warriors battled hard and after some swordclashing, Hannibal blocked an upperstrike wtih his sabre and rammed his shield against Hannibal. The general flew backwards, from the elephant in the sand. Genghis, knowing he could not steer this elephant, jumped after his opponent.
The two warriors continued their fight on the ground, with both men slashing at their opponent.
Hannibal tried to get behind the shield with his falcata twice but failed both times. Suddenly he attacked with an high attack again but Genghis managed to block the attack with his sword, stepped aside and used his shield to push the sword of his opponent away. This gave him room to slash at the hand of his opponent, what Genghis did. The swordhand and sword of Hannibal fell in the sand and as an automatism, he slammed his buckler in the face of his opponent. Genghis fell how his nose and some teeth broke. With only a shield to defend himself, Hannibal did not have much chance to survive the battle and as Genghis attacked again, he brought his buckler op in defence. Genghis used his own shield to hook the other shield away and brought his sabre up above the shields. With a big slash, the underside of the chin and the upperside of the throat. Hannibal made a strange sound as he dropped in the sand with a big gash in his throat and half of his chin chopped off.
Genghis was tired after the fight and collected both horses and he went back to camp. The body of his fallen soldier would be picked up later.

Winner: Genghis Kahn

In my personal opinion, i think that Genghis would have the win in this battle. He had great armour that would protect against most of the attacks of his opponent. His best weapon in this fight would be his bow and arrow, as he was superb trained with these instruments of death. His lance would also deliver death upon his opponent. The battles would have been rough and altough Hannibal would lose, he would be close behind Genghis. The difference in numbers would be minimal and the best weapon of Hannibal would be his elephant.
A special thank you for afanofsparta and Wally. These guys helped me out with finding the correct weapons on both warriors. Especially on Hannibal Barca. Guys, thank you!
This was my opinion on the fight that DW presented us and i hope you like it. Tell me if you agree or not!

The new ancient match up still has to be announced and because of that, i cannot tell what the new match up will be, but stay tuned!
