Ryu Hayabusa

The person:

He is known as the Modern day ninja, the superninja, the singular ninja and the dragon ninja. His real name is Ryu Hayabusa and he is a one man killing machine.

Having fought opponents ranging from other ninja's, robots, fiends and even modern day armies, this young man has tons of experience and may be the single most powerfull ninja in existence.

Ryu is the son of Jo Hayabusa, the leader of the Hayabusa ninja clan and part of the dragon lineage.

From childhood, Ryu has been trained as a ninja. He learned some crucial survival skills as a child and as he became older, the training became harder and tougher as he mastered a lot of ninja skills. He excelled at training and soon became one of the top students, ultimately giving him the honour to bear the Hayabusa name as his own. 

During his training Ryu became close friends with a lot of peole from his village, ranging from other Ninja trainees to old and experienced Ninja warriors.

When Ryu was 18, a cult had emerged in the United States. This cult of Nostradamus wanted to furfill the prophecy done by Nostradamus, which stated that the devil king will rise and start the apocolypse. 

Jo Hayabusa knew very well that this was a very dangerous threat and he wanted to set out to take out this cult. Ryu wanted to prove his worth and was eager to test his training and ability so both Hayabusa men traveled to the United States. Ryu and his father crossed all through the US and fought the cultmembers, ending with the beating and killing of their leader by Ryu himself. 

A year after that, a dictator rose with a large army and took New York city. He wanted to bring up a monster there and Ryu found himself in New York to battle Robots, Military and a kickboxing champion. in the end, Ryu battled the dictator who used magic to defend himself but Ryu was stronger and killed the dictator.

At the age of 21, Ryu recieved the dragonsword, the sword that would become his primary weapon. As his father left to train in the wilderniss, Ryu recieved a a invitation to train with his uncle, who was the leader of another ninja clan.

While with his uncle, the village of Ryu is attacked by samurai and mages and Ryu fights them off. However, he is unable to help them and gets killed by a greater fiend who used the dark dragon sword, a relic that the Hayabusa clan had been tasked with to protect. 

Hours after he has been killed, the Hayabusa animal spirit, a falcon appears and sits on a tree above Ryu's body.

Ryu was fully healed three weeks later and after hearing from his uncle that the emperor of the Vigoore empire was responsible, the ninja donned the black falcon costume and started a journey to the Vigoore empire to avenge his village and bring back the the dark dragon blade.

He battled ninja's military, ghuls, fiends, icebeasts, firebeasts, dragons and many more creaturs. In the end, Ryu was able to transform his dragon sword in the true dragon sword with the help of a relic. His uncle turns out the mastermind and uses the dark dragon blade to fight is nephew but looses. Ryu then destroys the weapon.

During further travels, Ryu fought the same sort of opponents again and many more like vampires and terrorists

Ryu Hayabusa has shown to be a very powerfull warior and has been called the most powerfull ninja, even going as far as defeating a supreme deity. The reason he is a powerhouse comes from his bloodline and heavy training. Ryu has extreme speed and acrobatic skill, being able to block bullets of machine guns. Not only having physical power, the ninja is also a tactical fighter and highly calculative and therefore giving him an edge in strategie against most other opponents.

Some of the skills Ryu has are: agility, steath, acrobatics, heighten senses, a ninja sense that spots danger, martial arts, a weapon master and Ki manipulation. Along with that, Ryu has techniques to help him overcome  obsticles like the wind run, footstool jump, double jump, flying bird flip, waterrunning, shadowless footsteps, the invisible path, unrivaled soaring, reversed wind, furious wind, counterattack, intercept, projectile deflection, violent wind, izuna drop, obliberation and essence. Not only can these be used to overcome problems, some are usefull in fights and will come in handy in the battle against Yoda. 

Ryu is a man of opposites. Outsite of battle, he is the wise young man who is modest and refined. But during fighting, he is unforgiving and will crush anything. He is not without his flaws. Due to his youth, he can be hotheated and brash, heading into undesiable situations that he needs to get out of. If he is able to get his game together, he can use his flexible nature and ninja training to think on his feet and adept to find a solution.

Also don't forget that altough many know Ryu as the hero of the ninja gaiden game series. He is also a participant of the dead or alive tournaments, where he won the second one.

Finally, I would like to add that Ryu has done so much in his videogames that I cannot possibly start to typ everything down. Therefore, I shortened this bio down a lot. Sorry about that but if you want to read it, go do it yourself. 

Weapons:

Ryu had tons of weapons and if I would use them all, this match would become almost impossible to write. I had to choose four weapons for Ryu and with pain in my heart, had to let go of a lot of other great weapons. Here my apology towards those who are sad that their favorite weapons are not chosen. i have made a selection of four weapons that I find most suited for this battle.

For short range, Ryu will fight with his dragon sword. The dragon sword is a weapon made out of the fang of the dragon god and powered up with the spirits of the twelve dragons to be used against the dark dragon by the founding members of the Hayabusa clan. Ever since, the dragon sword has been handed down to others in the bloodline untill it found itself in the hands of its current owner Ryu. 

It is a good weapon with high speed and the favorite weapon of Ryu, who uses it a lot.

When de dragon sword was created, there was also a juwel carved out of the eye of one of the twelve dragons, this juwel was the eye of the dragon. When the eye of the dragon is placed in the hilt of the dragon sword, the divine power of the dragon god is awakened. With this true dragon sword, Ryu is able to use more power and more advanced techniques. 

The divine power is so powerfull that only one of the lineage can use this weapon and not be overcome by its powerfull aura.

However, the true dragon sword is so powerfull that it is a threat to the balance of the world and therefore, the dragon sword and the eye of the dragon are kept in seperate locations. The dragon sword and the eye of the dragon can find each other and it would not suprise me that Ryu would use the true dragon sword against Yoda when he needs it.

After considering several weapons for a very long time, I have chosen to use the lunar staff for midrange.                                                            The Lunar staff is a pole-arm used to crush and thrust to kill the opponent. The shaft of this quarterstaff is made of willow and treated with oils, animal tendons and waxes to make it extra tough. In the third ninja gaiden game, the quarterstaff is even incased in steel to make it extra tough. The heavy spiked maces on both ends are made from weights that contain iridium. Iridium comes from meteorites.  

This is a weapon with two dangerous ends, which has decent speed, a good range and is found early on on most of Ryu's adventures.

Apart from killing, this weapon would work very well with stunning opponents. The stunning would allow Ryu to give a kill shot after it.

The long range weapon of Ryu is his strong bow.                                    When choosing the weapons, I was in doubt in using either the strong bow or the shuriken. The shuriken are the legendary weapons of the ninja after all and Ryu is shown to use these a lot. In the end, i chose the bow because I feel that this will be a better weapon against Yoda and it is much stronger then the shuriken. 

The strongbow is a composite bow and the second bow Ryu finds. It is a more powerfull one. It was made in Vigoor during the medieval times and it is impossible to be used by people of a average strenght. However, Ryu Hayabusa has far above average strenght and he is able to use this weapon without problems. 

 Three types of arrows can be used with this bow and i will take all three into account for this battle. 

The first arrow is the basic arrow with a sharp tip to kill opponents that we all know. 

The second arrow is the explosive arrow. This arrow will explode on impact, doing way more damage. Ryu uses this one mostly against machine guns but it can also be used against living targets. 

The last one is the APFSDS core arrow, which stands for armor piercing fin stabilized discarding sabot core arrow. To put it easy, it is a armour piercing arrow. It is a superb penetration arrow and can be used against armoured vehicles like tanks and helicopters. 

Ryu will have 15 of each arrow in the begin of the battle and thus 45 arrows in total. 

For special weapons, Ryu will have to trust on his use of ninpo. Ninpo is ki energy formed into a form to use for attacks and Ryu has mastered this use, having learned all sorts of techniques with the help of ancient scrolls.

With this ninpo, Ryu can utilise all sort of attacks and a few defenses. Because a lot of ninpo attacks look like each other or were used in only one game, i will explain the overall powers. Also, the techniques are named  arts.

Fire: Ryu can create a ring of fire around himself to protect himself and hurt enemies that come upclose. He can also use fireballs made of the breath of a dragon to attack his opponents.

Ice: Ryu  creates a icestorm that can freeze the opponent and have iceshards pierce into him.

Hurricane: Ryu can create a small twister, guided by his mind to tear opponents apart.

Wind Blades: Ryu can summon sharp winds that he can use to slice through opponents like swords. He can attack around him and thereby hitting everyone close to him and attack above and under him at the same time. These things can go through solid objects to hit the opponent behind it. 

Inazuma: With this art, Ryu can manipulate the electric current in his body and use it to attack all opponents in the vicinity with electricity. 

Piercing void: This might be the most powerfull art in his arsenal. Ryu focusses his telekinetic energy into his ki vocal point and then uses this to create a small black hole that rips the surroundings and pulls all things in the area in this destructive hole. Only the boss characters can survive a trip into the black hole, but these are weakened severly and only need one or two finishing blows to get killed. I cound Yoda as a boss type character and so he will be able to survive this attack, barely.

Not only killing attacks, Ryu can use the ki to help him in the fight.

Flying jump: Ryu can leap high in the air and jump vast distances, even being able to jump over buildings and parts of a vulcano.

Blink: the ability to teleport small distances, only leaving smoke or leafs in its wake. Its a tactic used during fights to be able to attack from another angle very fast or dodge with ease.

Regeneration: Using his Ki, Ryu can heal himself after being attacked. He can survive thrust to the vital organs or a slice through the jugular. He even healed when he was dismembered from the shoulder to the hip. However, the worse the attack, the longer it takes for Ryu to heal and when his ki is depleted (like when he has used to many ki attacks) he wont be able to heal himself anymore. 

Armour: 

Ryu has used a lot of costumes during the games but one of them was really his main costume. The legendary black falcon suit. This is a modern incarnation of ninja outfit and and this black suit consists out of a aerodynamic sleeveless leather suit, tabi boots, shin guards, forearm guards, fingerless gloves, a ninjamask with muffler and a silver falcon crest. Altough the guards, silver crest and leather bring a little bit of protection. Ryu has great agility with this outfit and that is his first form of defence.

X-Factor:

Not only does Ryu have a great set of weapons, he also is master of Ninjitsu. He has trained his whole life is this martial art and is a expert in its use. Altough ninjitsu does not get much screentime in the ninja gaiden games, Ryu uses it during the dead or alive tournaments where he won the second tournament.

I can see this martial arts going into play in two ways during the fight.

The first one is great agility and reflexes. Ryu has proven to be able to dodge or block a lot of attacks, going even so far as block bullets from a machine gun with his sword. I think that his agility and movement is close or even as good as that of a jedi master.

The second way this x-factor will come in to play is attack. He can attack Yoda in unarmed combat and even if it does not kill, it will throw Yoda offguard or even make way for a killing attack. Ryu is also able to counter a attack by blocking it/stepping away from it in time and then attack the now open opponent. This might prove to be a way to deal with one of the most powerfull weapons of one of the Jedi.

Yoda

The person:

With his length of 66 cm, Yoda is a small but dangerous Jedi master. Being a master in the use of the force and having great skill in lightsaber combat, Yoda also was grandmaster of the Jedi order and had a important seat in the jedi counsel. 

Even though having all this power, the small green creature preferred teaching then fighting and has thought most of the Jedi order like: Obi-wan Kenobi, Ki-Adi-Mundi, Kit Fisto, Count Dooku and Luke Skywalker.

Yoda could be a strict or like a grandfather, testing his students to the extremes and being very warm after they were done. It would  happen that students disagreed with him at first but knew he was right later on. Fellow Jedi masters knew that he could cause mischief, pranks and practical jokes. 

The world of Star wars is huge and expanded but the early history of Yoda has never been established. (Note that this was on purpose because George lucas wanted to shroud Yoda in mystery). However, in the years some of Yoda's backstory has been told.

Yoda has been born on a remote planet, unaware that he was force-sensitive. Deciding with a human friend to   seek empoyment in the core worlds. The two found a old spaceship and left off. During the trip, the ship got hit by a asteroid and disabled beyond repair. While drifting in space, they came across a star system that was not far off and with their last power, crashlanded on a remote swampy planet.

Upon this world, the two were found by a Hysalrian named N'kata Del Gormo who explained that he was a Jedi master and that both of the youngsters were force sensative. From that day on, Gormo trained the two in the ways of the force. When Yoda and his human friend were rescued by a galactic republic star ship, they were both jedi.

By 800 BBY, Yoda had been granted title and rank of Jedi master and started training his first student, something he would do for centuries to come. During his lifetime, Yoda did some remarkable things.

He was one of the Jedi who led the mobile academy on the Chu'untor and battled the witches of Dathomir  when the mobile academy crashed on that planet. 

By 200 BBY, Yoda noticed fluxes in the force and thought that dark side was stirring and the chosen one, that the prophecies spoke of, would arrive soon. Several of the younger jedi did not agree and formed a breakaway sect. It was Yoda who led the campaign to expell these young Jedi.

During 171 BBY, Yoda traveled to Ord Cestus and saved the native X'Thing from disaster. After he had done it, the X'Thing build a 70 m long statue of Yoda to thank him. 

It was at 102 BBY, that a infant with force abilities was found and given to the jedi by his parents, who were Counts on the planet of Serenno. This boy was called Dooku. When the boy got the age of a padawan, he started training and Yoda took a interest in the boy, becoming his mentor and confident but also the one to point out the flaws of the boy. Dooku would become one of the top duelist of the academy, almost as good as Yoda and Mace Windu.

Around 33 BBY, the Jedi order had trouble with Yinchorry and after the Yinchorry murdered two jedi's who came to negotiate, a jedi strike team was outfitted to go to the homeworld of these creatures. Information of this strike team was confusing and Yoda suspected an attack on the jedi temple, which happened. 

The Yinchorry task force thought that that they could attack the sleeping jedi but were met by several armed warriors. After a quick fight, almost all of the Yinchorry got killed, leaving only one behind who got interrogated by Yoda. The one succeeded in grabbing a weapon and tried to attack Yoda but the master used the force to ram the warrior against a wall and thereby killing him. 

It was after 32 BBY that the jedi master Qui-Gon Jinn brought his padawan Obi-wan Kenobi and a young boy called Anakin Skywalker before the jedi counsel. Requesting to train the young boy. Yoda played a keyrole in the counsel's decision to deny the boy training as he thought that the boy clung to much to his mother and had still remembered being a slave. In the end, the jedi counsel granted the jedi training while Yoda still objected.

After that, seperatists formed under the jedi with count Dooku on the lead, something that hurt Yoda.

After Obi-wan had told the jedi masters that a clone army was produced at the request of a deceast Jedi master, the jedi were unshure why this army was created and Yoda went to Kamino to inspect this army.

After that, he collected a squadron of clones and traveled to Geonosis to help the jedi there. 

The clones helped the Jedi in the battle of Geonosis while Yoda walked into a hangar to confront Dooku. Yoda deflected all the attacks that Dooku used, including force lighting and a lightsaber battle begun. Yoda was winning but before the green warrior could finish it off, Dooku used the force to drop a massive concrete pillar on Anakin and Obi-wan. As Yoda stopped the pillar, his old student managed to get away.

During the clone wars that followed, Yoda showed himself to be not only a competent leader but also a frontline warrior, going onto several missions. It was here where he took the title of Master of the order. 

Also during the clone wars, Yoda confronted dark jedi Asajj Ventress, who had killed a lot of powerfull Jedi.

He easily disarmed her using the force and gave her her weapons back, suggesting to surrender. She escaped by detonating bombs however. 

During the end of the war, Yoda found himself on Kashyyyk, using force meditation to aid the wookiees and clones in the fight against the seperatist army. It was there that he felt a lot of jedi die so suddenly and the ascencion of Anakin Skywalker in the dark side. Realising that the clones were now working against the Jedi, Yoda decapitated a clone commander and two other clones with a single attack and destroyed the rest of the clones that tried to kill him. 

He then met with other survivors in the jedi temple. There they battled Clones and saw the havoc that has been created there. Yoda revealed to Obi-wan that Anakin had gone to the dark side and that the republic was now a galactic empire. Something he had felt in the force earlier.

Yoda stayed on Corusant to battle Sidious. During the battle, Yoda got weaker by the many jedi that died and soon he was on the loosing side. Therefore Yoda escaped and went into exile because he failed. 

During his time on Degobah, Yoda met several people and at last, a young man named Luke Skywalker. Yoda trained the last hope of the jedi in the ways of the force. Luke left and when he returned, Yoda was weak, sick and near dead. After saying that darth vader was the father of the boy, Yoda died at the age of 900.

Not only is Yoda a great warrior, he also cares about every single piece of life around him. He can create a forcebond with people easily and feel in the force when someone dies or turns to the darkside. He has a garden in the Jedi temple where he likes to meditate and feel the force around him. As grandmaster of the order, He had been the face for the jedi order for centuries, one even said that he was the jedi order, showing his importance.

However, the bond with human life is his weakness, as he lost the battle against Palpatine because he felt all the jedi die in the force, weaking him. He also tried to spare the lifes of others, even if that meant letting the bad guys escape and lastly, Yoda will give every opponent a chance on redemption. Something that might prove lethal for him

As last I would like to add that Yoda hates droids because they do not live. He even goes as far as hitting one on the head with his cane when the droid did not listen to him.

Weapons:

Yoda does not have as much weapons as his opponent and I had to improvise a bit. Do not worry, It did not make Yoda weaker then it is. For his long range, Yoda has a indirect use of the force and for midrange, he used his melee weapon in a second way.

For short range, Yoda uses his lightsaber. The lightsaber of Yoda is smaller then the average lightsaber to deal with his smaller size. This shoto model was made by Yoda himself and has a green crystal. With his lightsaber, Yoda uses the IV form: Ataru, where he jumps around acrobaticly to overcome his short height but Yoda is a master in all form of lightsaber fighting. Yoda is a exceptional swordsman who fights with the same skill as Mace Windu. The lightsaber is different then most swords as by activating a button, energy is releashed in a straight cylindrical form and when activated, can cut through almost anything without problems. Even the touch of the energyblade will burn the skin of the opponent.

For Midrange, Yoda uses his lightsaber in another way. He throws it. The lightsaber throw is a technique where Yoda throws his lightsaber in a way one would throw a boomerang. The saber would hit one or multiple people and return to the hand of the owner if not disturbed otherwise. Altough it is called a throw, the sword moves with the help of the force. Yoda uses the throw also in another way where he throws the sword in the chest of the opponent and then jumps on the opponent to retrieve his sword. Yoda himself showed his mastery of the technique in the jedi temple 

If this technique goes perfect, it is a killer that can dicapitate the opponent from a distance. However, Yoda is unarmed during the throw and there is the possibility that Ryu dodges the attack or manages to get the lightsaber on the ground.

For long range, Yoda uses the force wave. He throws all sort of materials with the force at his opponent. He has seen to be able to lift huge builders and even x-fighters with the force to throw at his opponent, crushing him. Yoda is also able to rip things off walls with the force or create debri himself to throw when he runs out of stuff.

The special weapon of Yoda is the force. I can try to explain what the force is, But Obi-Wan is way better at that.

"Well, the Force is what gives a Jedi his power. It's an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together."

As a master with the force, Yoda is seen as one of the best force users in the history of the galaxy and can use the force in different ways. Yoda is a expert on the light side of the force, which embraces joy and happiness. Therefore the Light side does not have any direct killing power but has indirect ways to kil. Also, there is not much info on what Yoda could but since he belonged to the best force users in the history of the galaxy, i take it he could use the hardest attacks. I made a list myself of the ways that was known by jedi during his time and which he probably used. Lastly I checked for battle effectiveness. 

I have already talked about the force wave and will not take it into account for special. 

Force push: Yoda has also shown to be a expert at the force push, where he uses the force to push his opponent away. This can be from a building or just against something, killing the opponent. 

Force stun: With this power, a jedi stuns the opponent for a few moments and freezes him in place. He can arrest the opponent or simply finish him off. Altough this technique was harder to use against strong minded people, Ryu will be stunned for moments before recovering.

Malacia: With this power, the user affects the mind of the opponent and created dizziness and nausea to subdue the opponent. This would only effect living organism and not kill, making the opponent vomit at its worst.

Tutaminis: A force power where the user absorbs the energy based attack of his opponent and redirects back against the attacker. Yoda has shown to have mastered this attack, being able to catch force lightning send by Dooku and direct the attack back. Not only force attacks could be catched, but also other sorts of energy like blasts from a weapon.

Morichro: A very dangerous forcepower that only masters in the force could use. They could use it on themselfs to keep themselfs fresh and fit, without the need for food or sleep. They could also use this on the opponent to subdue him or even kill by dehydrade or starve the opponent on minutes. Note that this is a very dangerous attack that should be used with caution. It could easily go wrong. Yeddle has shown to use the power and since Yoda is a master of the force, even besting Yeddle, i am shure that he knew how to use it.

The force can also be used in other ways during the battle. I would like to say that i did not add battle meditation because Yoda needs to meditate to use this.

Force pull: The user pulls a opponent towards him or retrieve a weapon that has fallen on the ground. Yoda could pull his saber back or even the weapons of his opponent. 

Protection bubble: The force user forms a bubble around himself that can aborb attacks without he being hurt. It takes a lot of energy to keep this shield up and the user needs to stand still while activating it. 

When the opponent attacks the bubble while close by, the attacker can be attacked by his own attack. The bubble can withstand all sort of attacks from blasters to force attacks.

Force healing: The user can move his hands and heal himself during or after a fight. It takes a few seconds for the user to heal and yoda can be attacked during this time. The healing does have its limits, as it cannot heal lost matter like arms or legs. 

Force blinding: The user eminates a flash of light from his hand, blinding the opponent for a while and making it hard for him to see, let alone attack the force user. 

Influence gravity: The user can jump several stories in the air or even land from safely after jumping from a incredible height. Yoda himself has not only shown that, but he also peformed a lot of acrobatics in the air.

Armour: 

I can be clear with this. Yoda did not wear any armour at all. The only things Yoda wears his his darkbrown robe, his lightbown mantle and the cane that he does not use in battle. This will give no protection but a lot of agility. The broad sleeves do conceal movement of the hands though.

X-Factor:

Yoda was able to manipulate individuals and enter the minds of others to decipher their thoughts by using the force persuasion and mind trick to a very high degree. Yoda has shown these abilities by influencing captain Typho for example.

The way I see this being used in the battle: Yoda will be able to manipulate Ryu and confuse him to a degree. Yoda will also be able to see the thought of his opponent to foresee a attack or find the weak spots of the ninja. However, Ryu is strong willed and with his ninja training, might be able to push Yoda out of his head after he knows about it.

Dragon Sword Vs. Lightsaber

-This is a contest between two incredible swords, each with a special power that makes it very lethal.

The dragon sword can attack in combo's is really fast and very lethal. It can be upgraded into the true dragon sword and then it becomes way more powerfull. It has a nice lenght altough I am sorry to say that i found no evidence on how long this weapon actually is. However, no weapon is perfect and the same goes for this sword. The dragon sword has only one sharp edge and altough the true dragon sword has a lot more power, It will take time for Ryu to use the eye of the dragon and transform the weapon.

The lightsaber however, is a weapon that does not have sharp egdes at all. It is a beam of energy that can cut through almost anything. Only a handfull materials can stop the slashing of a lightsaber, which means that any way the lightsaber moves, it will kill. The lightsaber also moves with great speed but the problems with the saber of Yoda are that it is rather short and can be deactivated if anything goes wrong with it. I would like to say that it is possible for the lightsaber to cut through the dragon sword and disabling it

- Neither warrior has the armour to protect against the weapon of the other but that does not matter. Both of them will prefer dodging during a fight and are very well capable of it. It is very hard for me to say who can avoid blows better and I will not even try to find out. However, I would like to say that both also sometimes block the attacks of the opponents and then something happens. When Ryu blocks, his sword will get cleaved in half and when Yoda blocks, the sword of Ryu will be split in two also.

- With skill, I can be very easy, both are very very very skilled with their swords. Ryu is a legend with the dragon sword, having trained with it since his young adulthood and with swords in general since childhood. He can combo attack with a lot of skill, being able to finish Yoda off before he could even start to attack if Ryu plans his attack well. Yoda on the other hand is one of the top lightsaber masters and he uses the ataru form as a expert. Yoda is a top tier swordmaster that has been training lightsaber combat since he was a young man and is equally skilled as some of the greatest lightsaber masters like Mace Windu. However, Ryu really has trained in the swordarts since birth and he can combo attack really good plus use his ninjitsu with it and I think he has slightly more skill.

- Now I need to give the egde on what weapon will appear better to me. Both weapons are superb but both weapons also have some things that can cause problems. I named them all and i will look at the advantages of both now once more. The dragon sword is a dangerous weapon, with the ability to become more dangerous. It also can combine attacks in a very dangerous chain of slashes. The lightsaber can cut through the sword of the opponent and the opponent itself. The whole weapon is one dangerous edge and with the ataru form, Yoda can attack from all sides. 

The single reason why I give the edge to the lightsaber is because it can destroy the sword of the opponent and without stopping, destroy the opponent himself. The dragon sword can already be broken before Ryu can even use the eye of the dragon and this will help Yoda very well.

Lunar staff Vs. Saber throw

- Before anybody will think it, I will admit that comparing a weapon and a technique is not very fair. Altough I admit, it is not fair, i will try to make this weapon match as good as possible.

The lunar staff has a great reach, it can attack in both stabs and blunt force, has a counterweight and two lethal sides. It can combo also very well and when it does not kill Yoda, it can stun the jedi master. However, it is not a really fast weapon, having only medium speed.

The lightsaber throw is a technique where Yoda throws his lightsaber towards his opponent to reach him from far away. The throw has a better reach then the lunar staff, can cut the staff in two and kill Ryu easily.

However, when Ryu manages to dodge the attack and close the distance, Yoda is disarmed and open for any attack.

Both weapons have their advantages and disadvantages and the keyword in this match will be timing. 

- When you look at armour again, I can tell you the same as before. Neither warrior will be able to protect himself against the attacks of the opponent, but that does not matter since the warriors will prefer dodging. When Ryu tries to block with his lunar staff, it will be cut in half. On the other side, Yoda will not even be able to block when he has thrown his lightsaber and can be taken down before he retrieves his lightsaber again.

- The skill talk again. Both warriors are very skilled with their weapons as Ryu has been trained with staff weapons his whole live and would have lots of experience with the lunar staff. Yoda has shown to be very good at the lightsaber throw even though he ususally aims it at the chest of the opponent to pick it up a few seconds later.

I do have to think that Ryu has a advantage with training here.

- I look at two different yet equally dangerous weapons. The lunar staff can take out Yoda with both crushing and stabbing power. Ryu can also use both of the ends to take out his enemy. If the first strike does only stun, Yoda is open for a second attack that could be the kill. Yoda could finish the fight before it begins by throwing his weapon and having a instant kill. To decide which weapon gets the edge. I have to ask: Will Ryu Hayabusa be able to avoid the throwing lightsaber and close the distance before the saber returns to Yoda?

I do think so. Ryu has the same agility of a jedi and i could see him avoid the weapon or knock it away while in the air. I will also briefly mention the fact that the ninja can teleport short distances and thereby avoid the lightsaber to come in with a crushing combination of attacks. 

So the fact that Ryu will be able to avoid the throw and then take out Yoda with a great weapon is enough reason for me to give the egde. That will not mean that the saber throw is totally ineffective and will still score a nice amount of kills.

Strong Bow Vs. Force Wave

- With the bow, Ryu has a great long range weapon. Like any other bow, Ryu can aim it at his opponent and target parts of Yoda's body. The ninja can use the bow in a to shoot a lot of arrows in a minimal amount of time. Apart from normal arrows, Ryu also has armour piercing arrows and explosive arrows. I think that the explosive arrows will be the most dangerous arrows since even if they miss, the explosion will still harm Yoda. However, the bow can break or Ryu can run out of arrows.

Yoda can use the force to throw all kinds of stuff at Ryu in all sort of ways. 

As simple as it is, this attack does have its shortcomings. 

it is rather hard for Yoda to aim very well and it is very well possible that there is nothing he can throw at his opponent. 

- As with armour, I am going to repeat myself again. Neither warrior does have the armour to protect himself against the weapon of the opponent. Ryu does have enough agility to avoid anything that Yoda can throw at him and as a expert ninja, he will see it coming from a mile away.

Yoda us used to avoid blasters, arrows would not be any form of problem. Also, even if Yoda does not avoid the arrows, his lightsaber can transform the arrows in harmless twigs.

- for skill, Ryu is known as a really great bowman and archery is something he has practised since his youth. I am confident that he is a really good shot. Yoda is a master of the force and I am shure that he has enough training with the force wave to use this in a effective way. So concerning skill, both warriors have enough.

- Finally I have to decide which weapon does get the egde. The bow can shoot three sort of arrows very fast and kill if Yoda is unable to dodge. Even if Yoda dodges the attack and the arrow lands next to him, the exploding arrow can still be very deadly. Also i suspect that if the armour piercing arrow hits, it will go through the body of Yoda. 

The weapon Yoda brings to the table sounds more impressing, but i am afraid, it is less. Throwing objects does have its advantages; crushing power and being able to block certain attacks with the object before throwing. Hell, Yoda can even use the weapons of Ryu against the ninja. But it is more clumsy and Ryu will be able to dodge such attacks rather easy. Also, Yoda is open to all attacks while lifting stuff up with the force unless he brings in in between him and his opponent.

In my mind, we will see more kills with the bow and especially the explosive arrows then we will see with the force wave.

Ninpo Vs. the Force

- This will be a tough match to judge and may be the most tough weapon match up in all of my fantasy fights. To tackle this and give a egde, I have to look at this in three parts. For the overall comparisons, I will first see what exactly both arts are, then I'l devide it in offensive and other assets. For the armour piece, I will look at both of them and see how defensive will help armour and if offensive can get through armour. With skill, I will look at ninpo and the force in general. I will finally give a last judgement where I will compare both warrior's offensive powers, then defensive and finally say which power is better in my mind.

First I will look at ninpo. What ninpo is, is ki energy that can be stored in one place. When a scroll with a art is learned, Ryu can use it by doing handmovements and thereby collect the energy in his hands.

Like my quote of Obi-wan says, the force is a energy field. To be specific, the force is metaphysical, binding power that is all around everything. So to put it simple, both ninpo and the force are forms of energy manipulated by the users in different ways. Therefore it is fair to conclude that these forms of energy can interact and that protections work against each other.

For the offensive aspects of both powers, Ryu comes with 6 attacks, most elemental. He can use fire, ice, wind, electricity, blades and black hole all in different ways. The fire is something to either kill or hurt. We all know how fire feels... The ice can hold Yoda in place for follow up attacks and hurts as a bonus. I am not shure if it directly kills. The tornado can knock Yoda around and confuse him. If Yoda is weak, I can see how he could be pulled apart by the force but when Yoda is strong, I doubt if that works. The electricity is great since it not only kills, it is harder to avoid. Yoda nees to get out of the vicinity to avoid getting hit. 

The wind blades is a very powerfull attack since it can directly kill and even if it hits only a arm or leg, that will be severed from the body. It can hit all around Ryu but the opponent needs to be close in since the damage gets less, the further the opponent is away . The black hole is the most dangerous of attacks, hard to get away from but also the hardest for Ryu to peform. He will only be able to use it when he gets the space to create it.

Yoda has four really offensive powers. The force push is not lethal on itself but it does the trick when Ryu gets blown into a object or from a height. Even then, i cannot really say if the impact is enough to kill Ryu. The stun does not kill at all but gives Yoda a oppertunity to kill Hayabusa with another weapon. It can miss however when Ryu avoids the beam. 

The malacia power also has no killing power but it will lower the ninja senses and distract Ryu a lot. Since it influences the body of Ryu, it will be hard to avoid and he will need to distract Yoda. Yoda can be hit also while using this technique.

Morichro has the most killing potential of all these forcepowers. It can control/subdue/kill by influencing the body of Ryu. Again, Ryu needs to distract or get very far away from Yoda to avoid this. However, it is a hard technique to use and Yoda needs to focus himself deeply. He also can killed while trying this technique.

So to conclude, Ryu has 4 powers that can kill and one that can stun Yoda enough for a kill. Yoda on the other hand has only 1 power that is a true kill, one maybe kill and 2 stunners. 

With offensive, It is clear to me that Ryu is more dangerous. He has more ways to kill Yoda then vice versa.

Now for the other parts of both powers. Attacking is not the only wayu the powers could be used. i try to see which power can help each warrior better in other ways during the fight.

High jump will help Ryu when he tries to avoid his opponent, something very usefull. Blink will be very important during the fight since Ryu can avoid a lot of attacks this way and get around the arena pretty quick, maybe suprising Yoda. The defensive fire will be usefull also because it hinders Yoda from closing in and using his lightsaber untill the fire is dissolved. 

the healing will also be very usefull for the ninja. He can take a lot of hits and may even survive lightsaber attacks with it. 

Yoda has some tricks up his sleeve also. the manipulation of gravity makes him able to do some great acrobatic feats and apart from jumping all over the place, avoid the attacks of Ryu. The force pull can be used to disarm the ninja, throw him on the ground or just simply distract him. This will also be very hard to dodge.

Tutaminis will be very usefull since Yoda can catch some of the ki powers of Ryu and counter it. Since it can catch energy and Ki is energy, Yoda will be able to absorb some of the ki powers. Not all of them but I think that Yoda can send back the fire and electric powers back at the user.

The protection bubble is also a great defense against Ryu since it will protect against all sorts of attacks but will break after a while. I doubt it protects against the black hole though , but for the rest Yoda can use it as long as he does not get hit while trying to activate the power. Force blind will confuse Ryu and the ninja will unable to hit accurate for a time. On the other side, he has his ninja instincts that will help when the eyes fall out.

Yoda can also heal himself but he needs time to concentrate and he will not be able to heal all damage.

In my opinion are the high jump and manipulate gravity almost the same but Yoda can do slighly more then just jump. 

For the healing of both warriors, Both need to heal themselfs but Ryu can heal better, even regenerate limps. Also his healing makes him harder to kill. 

Blink and defensive fire are very usefull in their own ways in this fight, but Yoda can still hit Ryu from a distance when the fire is active and Yoda's force senses might spoil the suprise attacks. 

The blinding will be effective in a way untill Ryu switches to his ninja skills, attacking will be harder for him then though. 

The bubble and absorbion will be very usefull against Ryu and they will ruín his gameplan. I think that these two powers give Yoda a slight advantage in the non-lethal aspects.

- As for defense, I already have talked about the defensive powers and the hit/miss chance. I will now talk in a more general way about the warriors and which warrior is has a better defence.

For the defense, Ryu has his healing and the ring of fire. The fire prevents his opponent from closing the distance but does not protect against longer range attacks. The healing will be a more important factor and the reason that this ninja will not be taken down easily.

As for his protection against the forcepowers, Ryu will encounter problems because Yoda can aim some of his powers in a general direction or influence the body without having to aim anything at the ninja. This means that Ryu needs to get out of way real quick and keep on a very good distance to avoid the force.

Yoda has his healing, protection bubble and tutaminis for his protection. The healing may prove important but not as much as the healing of Ryu like I have explained. The protection bubble will prove very important since it can negate almost all of the ninpo attacks, only breaking when needs to endure multiple attacks. Lastly Yoda has his tutaminis, again something very important. Yoda can not only absorb a attack of his opponent, but also send it back. It will not work on all Ki attacks but even so, it is still very dangerous.

As for the ninpo, most of them are aim attacks, that means that Yoda can avoid them if he sees them coming.

In the end, I think that Yoda has a slight advantage in the defence part with all these powers combined. The healing of Ryu is the reason for the slight part.

- As for skill, Ryu is a master in the ninpo and he has succesfully found the scrolls. On the other hand, Yoda is known as one of the three legendary forceusers and also a master in his field. So in the end, it will be a fight between two masters in energy and i have a feeling that both the force and ninpo will play the most important part in the battle.

- I come now with the hard decision on who will get the egde in special weapons. i have talked about these two a lot and both are very dangerous, almost equally.

Like you have seen, Ryu has the stronger attacking power. The ninpo he uses has more ways to kill Yoda then the force has to kill Ryu. 

But both of these special weapons are not only killing tools and I think its only to fair which one can aid their warrior better in this fight. Then we see that Yoda has an advantage with the force due to his protection.

Now it is for me to decide which one is more important. One can argue that the offensive is more important because you need to kill the opponent to win. Another person would argue that attacking does not matter when the ninpo cannot hurt Yoda. Personally, I believe that ninpo and the force are equally powerfull in total with each having a area where it beats the other.

I do not like saying its a draw and therefore will give a egde, even if it means nitpicking. 

I have discussed almost every aspect of Ninpo and the Force. There is one aspect however, that i did not have mentioned before. For Ryu to use Ninpo he has to collect the ki in his hands with several handmovements and then blast the attack at his opponent. With the force, only simple hand movements are needed for the most techniques and Yoda needs more eleborate movements for only the harder to peform attacks.

What this basicly means is that Yoda can use the force more easy then Ryu can use ninpo and that the the force is more unpredictable when its used. Therefore I give it a very slight edge. 

Edge: Yoda

The Fight

A strange animal of unknown origin made a howling sound as he walked by. Ever since Ryu had entered this odd land, the only living beings he encountered were strange and unknown to him. The Hayabusa ninja looked at the creature and after he judged it not a demon, let it go. 

It was two weeks ago that he had encountered his village burned to the ground and most of the inhabitants slain, when he had come back from his month of training in the mountains. A little boy, not yet eight years old had barely survived the massacre but could tell Ryu that demons had come to attack the village and that they were lead by a green monster that has overseen the destruction. Before the boy could say anything else, he died in the arms of the ninja. 

After his initial anger was settled, Ryu had started searching for tracks to find these demons and get revenge on the slaughter of his village. This has brought him to a strange land with a seemingly endless forest, full of odd creatures. With every creature Ryu encountered, he observed it and when he thought it could be a demon, he slew it. So far, Ryu had killed five or six possible demons but the green one was nowhere to be found. 

After the latest beast had dissapeared in some bushes, Ryu sat down to get some rest. He was not shure if random killing was the right thing to do but Ryu did not care now, he could not allow any of the demons to escape and if any other beasts got killed.....too bad.

After resting, Ryu continued his search for the green one. When another hour had past, he heard a roar, similair to that of a bear and Ryu walked towards it to find out what made this sound. It turned out to be a beast, looking much like a bear but much larger. It had very long brown hair that covered its whole body, even its face. The beast howled again and just as Ryu judged this to be a demon, the creature ran towards Ryu, attempting to attack.

The modern ninja grabbed his lunar staff and waited for the demon to come near him. It attacked with a clawed hand, that Ryu could easily avoid. He countered a slash with the other using his staff and then hit the hairy beast in the stumach with blunt force. His attack had stunned the creature and Ryu used that time to thrust the spikes on the lunar staff in the chest of the beast. It roared again, stepped towards Ryu, grabbed him by his throat and lifted the ninja up. The hands of the demon were very strong and instead of trying to force them loose, Ryu kicked the hairy beast in the stumach and followed up with a punch in the face. The beast howled as it releashed Ryu and before it could attack again, the ninja stepped backwards. The demon charged at the human again but Ryu was gone before the beast reached him and as it turned around, he moved his hands rapidly. The beast charged again and when it was almost on top of Ryu, he attacked with his ninpo. A vacuum of wind suddenly hit the hairy beast in the stumach and ripped the creature in two while it gave a final cry. Ryu walked up to the torso and saw the sad eyes of the demon. Even though the monster deserved to die, Ryu still felt pity for him.

Knowing he had to continue his search for the green demon, Ryu cleaned up his lunar staff with some leaves and then started walking again.

Yoda stood on a big rock and gave a moment to think about what had happened. It had been a few quiet years on Dagobah, ever since his exile. That all changed a bit more then a week ago. Yoda had been meditating one morning when he had feeled ripples in the force as if some strange beings had entered the planet and a day later, he had sensed that another powerfull being had come to Dagobah. 

It was then that Yoda decided to find out who those strange things were and while investigating, Yoda had encountered several dead animals, they were killed by something unknown.

Needing to find out who killed the animals, Yoda had asked his friend Turra to come and help investigate, to which his friend had agreed. Turra was a wookiee who had lived in the Dagobah system several years before Yoda had come and the two became good friends upon their first enounter with each other. Both cared about the flora and fauna all around them and both were force-sensative, even though the force of Turra was weak and unexploited.

During their search, Yoda and Turra had split up to cover more ground and Yoda had not heard his friends since. Even on this rock, he could not see the large wookiee. What Yoda did see was a strange green creature heading towards him. The creature had leathery skin, clawed feet, clawed hands, a big tail and two wings. The jedi master was certain he had never encountered this beast before and he doubted that it was native to Dagobah. 

The monster was flying towards Yoda on top speed and before it could use its claws to slash Yoda, the small man  jumped away. When out of reach, Yoda used force push to ram the creature against a tree. 'Harm, I mean not' the Jedi spoke. As a response the beast just hissed and flew towards the jedi again. Yoda dropped his cane to have his lightsaber in his hand seconds later and as the tail of the create came towards him, Yoda jumped over it and amputated it with his saber. The angry beast hissed and came in with his claws again but Yoda avoided them easily. Before Yoda could use his lightsaber again, he suddenly felt his head burning and lowered his guard. The animal saw it, slashed Yoda in the face and threw the little muppet against a tree. 

The beast flew at Yoda but before it could reach him, he threw his lightsaber at it. He then ran towards the animal after his lightsaber pierced the leather chest, he grabbed the weapon and did a summersault. The beast died without a sound.

Yoda quickly healed his face and looked into the forest. The pain he had felt meant one thing, Turra was dead. 

After avoiding quick sand, Ryu jumped into a large tree. looking around, he suddenly saw a small green man sitting on the ground with its eyes closed. Realising that this man was the green demon he was looking for, Ryu jumped on the ground and made its way to a spot with a clear view of the demon.

Taking his bow and a arrow, the ninja knew he had a direct shot at his opponent. He nocked, aimed and fired his arrow at his opponent. To his suprise, the small demon stepped away on the last moment and the arrow flew away.

While meditating to decide what to do, Yoda had felt that the main disturbance of the force was near him. When he had opened his eyes, a arrow was heading towards him and Yoda stepped aside. Now, he saw his opponent. It was a human, dressed in black and holding some sort of bow. Another arrow headed towards him and he dodged this one also. 

Yoda used the force to pull up a tree from the ground and after using it to block the third arrow, Yoda threw the tree at his opponent. The human warrior avoided the tree with ease and then avoided another arrow, this one fully made of metal. As a response, the Jedi threw a big rock at his oppont who skillfully avoided this projectile also.

Two more times, the warriors attacked each other with long range weapons but neither warrior got hit.

Two big rocks flew at his opponent at the same time but to the suprise of Yoda, the human managed to avoid both rocks and shot another arrow at him. The arrow hit the tree next to the jedi and exploded. 

Ryu saw how the demon was pushed forwards by the explosive force and grabbed his lunar staff. He then started running towards the green man and when his opponent threw some sort of glowing weapon at him, the ninja dissapeared and appeared behind his target. 

Yoda turned around as he sensed his opponent behind him. He saw that the human was holding a staff and could only jump away when he was attacked by it. Yoda leaped backwards to avoid another attack and while in midair, catched his saber. When his opponent moved to attack again, Yoda slashed at the staff with his own weapon and cut the top off. Ryu showed nothing of his suprise as he moved to attack with the other side. Yoda stepped aside quickly and before the ninja could attack again, pushed him away with the force.

'Surrender, you must' Yoda spoke as he walked towards his opponent with his lightsaber drawn.

'Never!' Yelled the angry ninja as he took out his dragon sword.

'A fool, you are' The jedi master spoke.

The two warriors battled each other with their swords. Since both had great agility, neither warrior managed to land a succesful hit and Ryu had also been able to avoid his dragon sword touching the weapon of his opponent. The two kept on battling untill Ryu managed to hit Yoda in the head with his knee and then and followed up with a kick in the stumach to send Yoda backwards. As the jedi stood up, Ryu moved his hands and created a big ball of fire to send at his opponent. Yoda took a deep breath as the soaring ball of fire came towards him and he catched it, letting the fire sink into his skin. Seconds later, Yoda breathed out and from his hands came the same ball of fire that flew back at Ryu.

The suprised ninja jumped high in the air to avoid it and moved his hands for another ninpo attack. As electricty flew all around Ryu, Yoda had his protection bubble up and the attack bounced off without doing damage. 

Ryu then send his ice attack, hoping to freeze the bubble but that attack bounced off also.

Realising that ninpo would not work well here, Ryu Hayabusa grabbed his bow, took one of his armour piercing arrows and shot it at the bubble. as the bubble broke, Yoda used the force to pull the bow away from Ryu. 

Knowing that he would need all his power to defeat this demon, Ryu took a special amulet and inserted into the hilt of his sword. With the eye of the dragon in place, his dragon sword transformed into the true dragon sword. Ryu was ready for a round three and the battle between swords started again. 

As both warriors moved around and tried to hit each other, Ryu came with a low attack. Yoda jumped upwards to avoid it but Ryu moved along and managed to cut the left leg of Yoda. The smaller warrior fell down and knowing that victory was at hand, Ryu made himself ready for one final assault. 

Before he could move in with a stab, a strange feeling came over Ryu and he suddenly saw the face of his opponent in his head. Fight, you must not. Surrender, surrender, surrender. The Hayabusa ninja used all his skills to force his opponent out of his mind untill he finally succeeded. Before he could attack again, he saw his lunar staff hovering in the air and seconds later attacking him. 

Ryu blocked two attacks with ease and followed up with a attack that took the staff down. With this problem solved, Ryu looked around to find his opponent when his opponent appeared out of nothing and thrusted the lightsaber into the heart of the ninja. 

Yoda used the force to call his cane and when he turned to walk back home, he got hit in the back. He turned around and to his great suprise, saw his opponent still breathing. ' Even jedi, survive not' he whispered to himself. 

The two warriors looked at each other carefully, both tired from being pushed to the limit. Yoda tried to get into the mind of Ryu again but to his suprise, was blocked off. However, Yoda had seen much in the mind of his opponent 

and knew how to enrage him. 'Save your people, you could not. Burning i see' 

This had the reaction Yoda expected and the furious young ninja slashed at the small jedi without remorse. Instead of jumping aside, Yoda blocked the attack and the true dragon sword broke as soon as the two weapons touched. 

Ryu jumped backwards to avoid a slash and knew he had to give his final attacks all his power. With all his might he succeeded in creating a black hole near Yoda. Yoda tried to escape this attack but failed and got sucked into the black hole. 

As he came out of the back, Yoda was weakened. He felt the pain in his body and knew that he would die if he could not find a solution. 

Ryu grabbed sharp parts of his sword from the ground and walked towards his opponent who had his eyes closed.  So you will die as a cowards, the ninja thought as he walked up to the force master. When he was about to hit Yoda, Ryu got a dry tongue and felt suddenly very dehydrated. He sank to his knees and his eyes started looking for water. All of his strenght flew from his body and just as he thought he would die from thirst, Yoda walked towards the ninja. I failed to avenge my clan, was the last thing ryu thought before he got decapitated.

Using the force, Yoda send the head far away to be even more shure that this one would not fight again. Even though his opponent was dead, Yoda was still sad.

Winner: Yoda

In this contest between giants, it was really hard to decide who would win and I have spend a whole day wondering which of the two is better then the other. The egdes of long and midrange are for Ryu but the better short range weapon of Yoda cancels that out. As for special they are almost even.

In the end, I gave the victory to Yoda for three reasons. 

1. Yoda could detect weak points in the mind of Ryu and use that against him. The young warrior could not always have his feelings in tact Yoda could exploit that. 

2. Yoda had 900 years more experience in both life and combat then Ryu. This means that he could patiently and wait untill Ryu would make a single mistake. The force powers helped a lot with that.

3. The third and most important reason is that altough Ryu had four deadly weapons in his arsenal, they were still four weapons with their own uses and abilities. If you just look at it, Yoda had only two. His lightsaber and the force. This means that Yoda could use his weapons more fluently and with each other.

Where Ryu had to think on what weapon would work best in wat situation, Yoda could just fight fluently without having these worries. 

I hope you liked this match as these are two very powerfull warriors and deserve all the respect. I would also like to say that this fight would be very close and if I had to put it in DW terms. Yoda would have around 530 kills and Ryu Hayabusa 470.

 Also, in the fight I did not use all of their special powers, but i did take all of them in the calculations.
