Cochise was back. He had waited for several hours before returning to the cave, afraid of the bloodbath he would find. When the Apache had returned to the cave, he mourned for his lost friends who gave their lives for him.
As the warrior walked back out of the cave, he suddenly saw the traitor lying on the ground. The bastard had empty eyes and altough the traitor was dead, Cochise knew he had to do something. After drawing his knife, the native slowly removed both ears and the nose of Vlad to throw them away.
The Apache warrior sat down on the ground. The way to the town was longer then he remembered, but finally he had arrived. After resting, the warrior would go and search for a way to the forest he had found Saladin and from that point, he might find his way back to the grass he had started from.
Cochise suddenly heard some sounds and before he could draw his bow, two men were walking towards him. One man had long black hair, had a black beard and leather armour. He also had a strange staff in his hands. The other had strange clothes and grey hair. This man was unarmed.
'We mean you no harm Cochise. You can put your bow away.' The grey haired man spoke. The native looked at the two with a suprised look as he put his bow away. 'Who are you and how do you know me?' He asked. 'This here is Sun Tsu, a warrior like you' the old man introduced the other man. He then continued on without bothering to introduce himself. 'I know all of the warriors because it was me who send the crystals to fetch you. I am sorry about your friends, they deserved a better fate.' The old man waited for a few moments before going on. 'But life goes on and there are more warriors like you. Warriors that need the help of the two of you. There is one mighty vampire that rules from a castle and has created this chaos. It was him who send your friends into death and it is he who must be defeated if you want to return home.'
Cochise thought about what the stranger had said. The man did not feel threatening and what he said made sense. If there really was a way home, the man might be helpfull. 'Very well. I will help those.' The Apache uttered. The old man smiled. 'Very well. We must hurry because the final showdown will take place soon' A few minutes later, a bright light appeared.
Pete cursed. He and Ivan had been walking walking for two days now. No food, almost no water and neither person knew what way they were going. 'We should never have left the others' the pirate complained. 'What then, die?' the other said. 'We fucking could fucking escape fucking together. They accepted me and I let them down.' The captain had been with this thought the whole time but it was only now that he spoke about it.
'Don't bother, they are dead' Ivan spoke. 'Maybe not. I know Ramses and he is a surviver. He will have found a way to survive' The captain spoke.
'I thought that you were strong but you appear as weak as the rest.' Ivan spoke with a grin. 'I am dissapointed in you.' He added.
'YOU SHITHOLE' Pete yelled as rubbed with his hands over his face.
'Ever since you joined the group, things went down. It was you who convinced me to come with you. I thought you had a plan. I should have stayed with the rest, they were like a crew to me.' He said as he grabbed his flintlock pistol.
Unaware of the threat, Ivan kept on talking. 'So the pirate feels guilt, that is a new one. What is next, are you going to feel compassion? Are you quitting being a pirate? Sir you are...' The Russian stopped talking as he felt a gun against the back of his head. 'Ivan, you are terrible' Pete said, seconds before he pulled the trigger.
Pete quickly gathered the gunpowder of the dead body of his former partner. At last, he took the rifle away and started walking back from where they came. With a bit of luck, he could find the others again.
Ramses watched his two compagnions. He kind of liked the both of them but the Egyptian warrior could not forget the other friends that died. Then his mind went to Pete, that crazy pirate. The pharaoh really thought that Pete liked him and the few moments after he had left with that other guy, Ramses was really sad.
But now they had to go figur out where the evil vampire was and kill him. That might bring Ramses home to his empire.
'Come we move on' he spoke as he stood up himself. Aves and Joan stood up also and their travel continued.
When the three warriors arrived at the egde of a forest, they suddenly saw a bright light in the forest. None of the three bothered to get weapons out when two men walked towards them.
'Who are you?' Ramses asked. The two introduced themselfs as Sun Tsu and Cochise and each man spend some time recalling their stories. When the Apache was done talking, Sun Tsu explained that a strange man brought them here to look for the warriors. 'Did he say anything else?' Joan asked. 'Yes, as a matter of fact, the man told us that the castle with the vampire is directy behind this forest.' Cochise said.
As the five warriors walked through the forest, Ramses kept on thinking.
The man the two new warriors had told about sounded very much like the stranger who had brought them here to look for the vampire. This was a strange man and something did not feel right, but if he could go home, Ramses should take the chance.
As they finally found the other end of the forest, the warriors saw a huge stone building with big wooden doors. 'Its a beautiful castle' Joan spoke out. 'You know the building?' Ramses asked. 'Not this one but I have seen a few castles back in France' the female warrior answered. After this, Joan started telling everything she knew about castles and where in the castle the enemy might hide.
When they were done, Ramses asked everyone about their weapons, trying to find a plan of attack.
'I have my Ji halberd' Sun Tsu spoke, showing his spear with two halfmoon shapes on either side. He then showed his crossbow and jian. After him, all the other warriors started showing their weapons and talking about the advantages of them. After that, the group started thinking of a plan for the attack on the castle.
As they were working everything out, Cochise suddenly spoke out. 'Guys, one of the werewolfs has just come out of the large doors and is heading towards us.' The others looked up and saw one of those beasts, only larger then the rest. As the monster walked towards them, Sun Tsu spoke. 'i have a plan. Trust me.' the man spoke. Ramses watched the Chinese. He did not know the man very well but he had no choise. 'Very well.' he said.
Theobald walked towards the edge of the forest. He had been send for a errant by his master but when he had stepped out of the castle, his nose had picked up human smell. Hoping to get on the good side of his master, Theobald followed the smell to capture the humans.
He suddenly saw a man with long black hair, holding a bow. The werewolf started running towards the man while trying to avoid the arrows. As he was close to the warrior, something hard hit his stumach and he fell over.
It was a bolt that had hit him and the angry werewolf pulled it out. He threw the thing away but before he could attack the man who shot him with the crossbow, the other warrior shot another arrow at the beast. Theobald spun around and grabbed the warrior. He lifted the young man up and got hit in his back again. The werewolf threw the warrior he was holding on the ground and turned his attention to the the other warrior again. The man had traded his crossbow for a strange spear and had attacked him with it. The warrior tried another attack but Theobald was prepared this time and catched the polearm with ease, pulled it out of the hands of the user and walked towards the now weaponless warrior. The opponent walked backwards, with his hands on the hilt of a sword. Before Theobald could attack, a third person appeared from some bushes and stabbed him with a short spear. Theobald counterattacked but the warrior blocked all of the attacks with a big shield. The angry werewolf howled and blocked another thrusting attack when he felt a sharp pain in his left arm.
A fourth warrior had appeared and had thrusted a sword in the armpit of the werewolf, thereby disabling his arm. Theobald pushed this armoured warrior away and into a tree. As he walked near to punish this one further, someone jumped out of a tree and the back of the beast suddenly burned with pain. Theobald moved himself upwards and cried out in anger. Two spears penetrated his chest as the werewolf stood upright and when he fell down, the warrior, who began all of the attacks, stood in front of him. Before Theobald could attack, the warrior stabbed a knife in his throat.
Theobald died after giving one last long howl.
Great chapter man! Was it a Apache custom to mutilate the bodies of those slain by them or who they hatted?
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIt will be interesting to see who survives in the end, though it seems like Rhamses or Sun have the best shots. That plan to ambush the werewolf was impressive!
thank you. I never found mulitation as Apache customs but i know that Natives did this to settlers and i applied the rule of cool.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenIf anybody deserved to bee mutilated then it's Vlad, good for our Native bro.
BeantwoordenVerwijderenFabulous story and I'm at the edge of my seat with anticipation :D
