Angst
walked through the landscape. Al tough he was very able to teleport,
he still preferred walking. It gave him time to think, to plan, to
scheme. He would become a master god and eventually the elder master,
just as his father had foreseen. He would become powerful once more
and there was nobody who was going to stop him. Angst was returning
to power, just as his father would have wanted and just as he wanted.
Angst would demand the powers of the master gods when he had been
crowned victor and he would slay these master gods.
Walking
past a hillside, Angst saw the fighter named Raphael jumping from
rock to rock. This strange warrior had been kicked out of the
tournament in the first battle and it was not a warrior who had
deserved to live.
Angst
knew the power of the Hero of Oakvale and the Hero could have
destroyed that little ninja if he had wanted to.
Walking
on, Angst stepped into a cave, where his two new allies were already
waiting.
'My
allies, my new brothers.' Angst spoke as he watched both Jack of
Blades and Amon.
'You
have summoned us here, why?' Jack asked in his creepy demonic voice.
'Well.'
Angst started. 'I do not like this tournament and especially that man
controlling us and telling what we can and cannot do.' Angst looked
at both masked men. 'I have chosen you both because of your cunning
and your strength.' His voice kept calm and cool. 'What is your
plan?' This time it was Amon who asked the question. 'I want to take
out this host and let us control the tournament, but to do that I
need help. Your help.' Angst looked at them again. 'Together we can
find others for our alliance and strike this foul for a host without
him ever realizing.' Angst did not notice that he started to smile.
The other two however, were not smiling at all. 'How do we know that
we can trust you?' Amon asked. 'We do not even know who you are.'
came Jack.
Not
losing his smile, Angst spoke. "My name is Angst. I used to be a
god but those idiots threw me out. Now all I want his revenge and my
place in the city of the gods. ' Neither of the other two man gave a
reaction. 'I was the host of the first tournament and it went really
wonderful, until that idiot of an hero screwed it all up.' This piece
of information sparked a reaction from Jack of Blades. 'That makes
two of us who hate the hero then' 'Ahh well, together, we can take
this man out. He will not stand a chance and we will destroy him.'
Angst said, continuing on the idea of fighting the hero. 'We can take
all the warriors out who have created problems for us.' The eyes of
Angst kept switching between the two others. 'Now, is there anybody
you want to be taken care off?' He asked as he looked at Amon. The
bender kept silent for a few minutes before he spoke. 'There is this
girl. The avatar. She has become too powerful for me to handle
alone.' Then we take her out.' Angst finished. 'We three are maybe
the most dangerous warriors here on this island. Together we can do
grand things.' Angst looked at the other two again and stared at the
eye slots of both masks for a bit before he finished. 'Are you in or
not?' Jack was the first to respond. 'I am in.' He spoke. It took a
few moments for Amon to respond, but in the end, he too agreed.
'Very
well gentlemen. let us break up now and resume out meeting in two
days?' Angst asked and when the other two nodded in agreement, he
asked them to keep an eye on potential candidates to help with their
quest.
Just
before Amon and Jack left, Angst spoke. 'One more thing. If one of us
should get a notice for their battle, please tell the other two. I
think that it will be rather useful to see each other's matches.'
While
the two others left, Angst stayed behind for a bit. When he was sure
they were gone, he stepped out of the cave as well. When he had
hosted the previous tournament, he had come across some old books and
relics. Things that would prove very useful for his current plans.
Now he was going to research them on his own. The others would know
when the time was right.
The
sun was shining over the large field were most of the warriors were
camped. The hero of Oakvale was training in sword fighting with his
future sibling, the hero of Brightwall, the cowboy named Landon
Ricketts was shooting leaves out of trees and Jin Kazema was doing
push ups.
In
between all of these busy fighters walked Raiden. This god of thunder
and mortal kombat fighter had entered the competition to see how well
he would do. The god was used to the mortal kombat tournament, which
was rather similar and all of these fighters looked able, but none of
them was as powerful as he. Being a god was a good edge over the
others. He would win this tournament and demand the permanent freedom
for earthrealm as his prize.
As
Raiden walked, he wondered if it was this tournament that had made
Sub-Zero dissapear and what Scorpion was doing here. Pondering about
these things, he bumped into someone. 'Which human stands in the way
of a god?' Raiden demanded. The man he had bumped against was wearing
a red cross over his naked chest and a crown of thorns over his
helmet. By his belt, he had a large cross and on his back was a
lethal looking scythe.
'A
god?' The other one said mockingly. 'Yes, the god of thunder and
protector of earthrealm.' Raiden spoke. 'There is only one god, THE
God.' the other warrior replied. 'I should know.' The man added. 'You
are mistaken, you human.' Raiden argued. 'I am a god and there are
many more.' 'HaHahaha.' The man named Dante Alighieri laughed.
'Listen, I have been in hell. I have fought both death and the devil
myself. I have seen those like you in the circle of Heresy, down in
hell. Where you belong.' 'You will be punished!' Raiden yelled out as
electricity formed into his hands. 'I will condemn you to hell.'
Dante answered while he brought the cross of his deceased wife to his
chest.
Just
before these two could clash, they heard someone shouting stop. It
was the host who had intervened. 'No fighting between the matches.'
The host spoke with a stern voice. The two warriors eyed each others
angry and neither looked like they were ready to stop the hostility.
'Well,
since neither of you want to wait, you will fight each other.' The
host spoke. 'I was actually planning to let you fight the legendary
King Arthur but this new opponent will do fine as well.' the host
said to Dante.
Be
back on this spot in an hour and you'll battle each other.' the host
said to the two men.
An
hour later, the god of thunder stood against the crusader again. each
stood posed to attack each other as soon as they would get the
command.
The
host stood on the branch of a tree. He gave the command and saw how
the god and the killer of death began their battles.
Raiden
send a bolt of electricity towards Dante, who dashed aside and used
his own cross to to fire silver white crosses towards his opponent.
Raiden blocked the attacks using a shield of electricity. Dante
spammed his crosses, which were all blocked. Raiden then teleported
behind his opponent and send a ball of lightning that hit Dante in
the back.
Alighieri
turned around, with his scythe ready. He swung the lethal looking
weapon at his opponent and when raiden brought his own staff to block
the attack, the god saw how the scythe became longer and went past
the staff to hit the thundergod in the chest.
Raiden
walked closer towards his opponent and blocked a second attack. He
then kicked Dante away and teleported backwards.
Dante
swung his scythe in a wide arc and raiden got slashed in the side. As
the scythe came in the same arc again, Raiden jumped over and ran
towards his opponent. Using his staff, he managed to hit the crusader
in the neck and the face. A third smacked Dante aside. Raiden grabbed
Dante and allowed electricity to flow through his body and hit Dante,
who howled in pain.
Dante
unleashed a another cross attack that hit Raiden and pushed him back.
Dante then attacked with his scythe again, which forced Raiden away.
Raiden
send a ball of electricity towards his opponent again, who cached the
ball with his death's scythe and send it back towards Raiden. the god
allowed the ball to hit him and he absorbed it with ease. Raiden then
teleported towards Dante and started punching him with powerful
strokes. Using all forms of jujutsu that raiden knew, he attacked
with punches and kicks that knocked Alighieri around until Dante used
his magic to call upon his lust storm. At once, a tornado of
purple energy burst appeared around Dante. The energy was accompanied
with sounds of moaning woman. This lust storm both protected Dante
from damage and it inflicted damage on Raiden on short range. The god
stepped backwards to avoid this purple storm and send balls of
electricity to Dante. The balls had no effect while the Storm was
taking place and the only thing that Raiden could do was avoid the
scythe.
The
lust storm finally stopped and Raiden immediately teleported away to
behind Dante. There, he send a beam of electricity, which hit the
martyr in the back and send him to the ground. Dante jumped up
in the air and shot the scythe as a harpoon forwards, aiming to hit
Raiden, who managed to avoid the first two of these attacks and block
a third with lighting. The fourth attack however, came over his head
and slashed the back of Raiden.
Dante
landed on the ground and looked at his opponent. While yelling some
gibberish that sounded like your car is stolen, Raiden used his
flying thundergod move and flew towards his opponent, covered in
electricity.
Dante
had moved at the same moment and was holding the cross of his wife
Beatrice in front of him while he glided at high speed towards his
opponent, leaving white energy in his trail.
\The
two powerhouses collided in the air and both got blown to another
side. Dante stood up, weakened. He had killed death, walked into
hell, had beaten Cerberus, Cleopatra and Marc Antony. He had even
defeated the devil himself but this pagan was one of the toughest
fights.
The
damned crusader saw how lighting came from the sky and struck his
opponent. At first Dante believed it to be a act of god, however, the
lightning had given this Raiden new energy. The god teleported
towards Dante and struck the face with three punched. The thundergod
then followed up with a kick to the chest that pushed Dante away.
Raiden
walked up to his opponent, lightning all over his body again. he was
about to touch his opponent with lightning, when suddenly a golden
cross appeared out of nowhere. Dante stepped backwards as the cross
defended him and prepared to go into redemption mode. His eyes became
more red as he felt himself becoming stronger. Dante then jumped
towards his opponent, who had just managed to destroy the cross and
attacked with his scythe. He first hit the god across the shoulder
and then at the left leg. Jumping backwards, Dante waited until
Raiden came at him again. This happened in the form of the flying
thundergod, but instead of deflecting, Dante used his scythe to bring
his opponent crashing to the ground and as Raiden was moving to stand
up again, Dante yelled out in rage and decapitated the thundergod.
The head of Raiden flew through the air and hit the ground, just
before the feet of Catwoman. as his eyes followed the head, Dante
suddenly became aware of the different fighters who had watched the
battle.
'Enjoy
hell.' Dante spoke while he kept looking at the head of this pagan
god.
'Well
done.' the host said with a smile. 'That really was a wonderful
power-battle.' Dante did not smile nor look at this man. He was
one step closer at winning the tournament, one step closer at
bringing Beatrice back to him.
'As
the victor of this battle, i will grand you minor electric powers.
You can send balls of lightning and your scythe will be infused with
it.' The host said as he touched Dante with the cane. After he had
been hit, Dante felt a tingle of electricity running through his body
and then walked away.
