the tournament: Fight

Jin kicked the tree and followed up with a powerful punch. After that he kicked the tree two times and followed with a right, left, right punching combo. He only stopped when he suddenly heard someone coughing behind him. It was the small host, who had come to tell him that his fight was due during lunchtime in the arena. Jin nodded to show he understood and gave another powerful kick at the tree.

Jin walked in the sand of the arena, watching his opponent standing there already. He was only wearing pants with fire emblems on it while his opponent was dressed as a yellow ninja with yellow mask.

When the two stood against each other in an empty arena, the host suddenly started talking.

'In this corner, straight from the Tekken tournaments is Jin Kazema. Member of the famed Mishima line, which holds the devil gene, Jin knows how to throw a punch.' The host kept smiling while Jin remained silent. This man knew an awful lot about him, including the stuff about the devil gene. Jin wondered if this host also knew that Jin was fighting here to get that devil gene removed, to be able to live a normal life for once.

'In the other corner, traveled here from the Mortal kombat tournament is Scorpion. This hell spawn specter was once human but now he travels the world, searching for the killer who took his family and clan from him.

Don't cross his path unless you wish death by fatality, here is Scorpion.'

As with Jin, Scorpion remained silent. He would destroy this opponent and be finally able to get his family and clan back again. To actually live again.

The two warriors stared at each other, judging the opponent. Suddenly, the host shouted 'Fight.' and both man jumped into action.

Scorpion started with a 'Get over here.' As his spear escaped from his hand and flew towards his opponent, the chain ringing in the air. Jin stepped aside and punched the spear away before he ran at his opponent to deliver a punch to the face. Scorpion was just in time to avoid the punch and grabbed his opponent in the process. He then performed a shoulder throw, which threw Jin on the ground. Scorpion stood over him and the tekken fighter delivered several kicks in the stomach, which forced the specter backwards and allowed Jin to stand up again.

Jin then followed up with two punched to the face that Scorpion managed to block, however the kick in the stomach that followed came as a surprise and Scorpion buckeld over in pain. Not wasting a moment, Jin rammed his knee in the face of the ninja with incredible force. The attack was aided with the electric power that Jin used with his strongest attacks.

Scorpion fell to the ground in pain. He lay still for only a second or two and then used his legs as scissors to trip his opponent, who also fell on the ground. Scorpion got up, waited for Jin to stand up as well and then used his flaming backflipkick to push Kazema away.

Jin moved again and ran towards his opponent, who attempted another spear attack, this time with success.

Jin felt a stab of pain as the spear entered his chest and pulled him forwards. Jin was unable to move as Scorpion punched Jin in the face a few times and then gave a kick to the temple.

Jin had managed to stay on his feet during these blows as he had suffered worse during the tekken tournaments and came back with a electric fist to the face and another electric fist to the chest. Jin then jumped up and rammed his knee into the chin of his opponent. He finished this line of attack with his spinning kick where he stood on the ball of his left foot and the right one was outstretched. Loaded with electricity, he was spinning towards his opponent and hit the legs and knees of Scorpion, who jumped up after the first spinning attack and landed behind Jin.

Jin turned around to kick his opponent away but Scorpion teleported, to appear on the other end and deliver a blow to the face.

The fight was only in its begin stages but both fighters had already sustained some serious damage and both guys were already bleeding.

The two warriors grappled for a bit, until Jin moved for a strike to the head, which Scorpion managed to dodge by ducking and as he stood up, he aimed a uppercut. The uppercut got avoided by stepping aside and while Scorpion was rising, Jin kicked the knee and then gave a electric punch to the side of the head of the ninja.

Scorpion was forced backwards and when he stepped forwards again, he was brandishing two tanto swords, which replicates the sting of a scorpion. Trying to stab his opponent with both small swords at the same time, Jin cached the wrists of his opponent and barely managed to avoid getting lethally stabbed.

The two struggled for a bit for control, but Jin, who felt he was losing, pushed his opponent away.

Scorpion returned the two swords to their places on his back and got hit by a fist. Another fist was heading for him but this time, he sidestepped. scorpion then grabbed the wrist of his opponent with his right hand and grabbed the elbow with his left. Now full in control of his opponents arm, the hell spawn forced his opponent to the knees in a joint lock. The ninja then kicked Jin in the side and drew his larger one-handed katana.

As Jin stood up, Scorpion grabbed his hand, pulled him off balance and then thrusted his sword forwards, into the chest of Jin Kazema.

Jin fell with a loud yell on the ground, as a puddle of blood formed underneath him.

Scorpion now watched his opponent die, but to his surprise he saw how his opponent stood up again.

Jin's eyes were glowing red as he pulled the sword out of his chest. Strange markings formed around his face and a red dot got attached to his forehead. But the strangest of all were the two dark wings that sprouted from his back, each followed with a angry howl. Devil Jin had arisen.

Scorpion looked up with surprise as he saw how his opponent flew into the air and kept hovering above the specter. Attempting a spear attack, the newly formed Devil Jin blocked the attack and flew towards Scorpion. He first gave a strong punch and then lifted the yellow ninja up in the air to throw him into the stands of the arena, where Scorpion crash-landed. Devil Jin then used the power of the laser, which he had gotten with his devil transformation and aimed it at at the ninja. 

Scorpion was just in time to step away and saw how the stone seats close to him got destroyed by the laser. Wanting to get away here Scorpion jumped in the air and performed his teleport attack while in the air. 

He appeared again in the air behind Jin where he smacked the opponent in the face and followed up with a burning back-flip before he would fall. The backflip pushed Jin backwards, who did manage to use his laser again on Scorpion. 

While Jin flew into the stands, Scorpion headed towards the balcony where the host stood. The host jumped in the air and kept hovering there as Scorpion got rammed through the balcony and then fell on the ground, with pieces of balcony falling on his body.

Devil Jin walked up to his opponent, believing him almost defeated. He lifted up the head of the ninja and pulled of the mask for one final blow. However, as he pulled the mask away, a burning skull got revealed. Staggering back for a little bit, Jin recovered quickly but scorpion had already raised himself up and attacked. 

'This is interesting. A devil versus a hell specter, both in their real forms.' The host spoke while he walked in the air.

The two warriors did not notice this comment as both fought with all the power they possessed. Both fighters struck, kicked and blocked blows. Scorpion suddenly attempted to grab Jin again, which failed as Jin pushed the arms away. Retaliating, he stomped the hell-spawn in the face four times and finished it off with a knee attack to the chest. Scorpion cried in pain and Jin grabbed his throat. Ignoring the flames that danced around the head of Scorpion and the hands of Jin, the tekken warrior started choking his opponent.

Scorpion first attempted to break free out of the grip but found he couldn't. He then pulled one of his two small swords and pushed it into the side of Jin. This move forced the devil gene fighter to release his opponent and he saw how Scorpion attacked with the second blade. This time prepared, Jin stepped away and slammed his wing into the arm of Scorpion. Following the wing attack, Jin kicked the blade away from the hand of his opponent and then created distance. 

Using the distance his opponent created, Scorpion heaved his arms in the air and underneath Jin, a fire suddenly erupted. Being on fire, the fighter screamed in pain and as he recovered a punch that cracked his nose pushed him to the ground.

Not wasting his moment Scorpion bent down, impaled his opponent with the kunai tip of his spear and forced the chain of the weapon around the neck of Jin. Unable to escape from the chain, Jin tried nonetheless and as Scorpion pulled the chain tight, Jin kicked and punched out even more. However, he was not able to get away and the attack that followed took him with a even greater surprise. 

Scorpion started breathing fire that gave off a lot of smoke. Keeping on going, he stopped when Jin had long stopped moving. Untangling the chain, Scorpion stepped away. When the smoke dissapeared, it showed only the skeleton of a fighter who once was Jin Kazema.

'That was intense.' The host spoke, who walked from the air to the ground as if he was descending stairs. 'Here you go.' He said as he touched the fighter with his cane. 'You are now fully recovered and your powerful blows give off the same electrical charge as Jin's did.

Not listening, Scorpion walked away from the arena.

'That was very well done Scorpion.' a strange voice spoke. The ninja,who had donned his mask again looked at who gave the comment. It was a man with black hair and grey skin. 'What do you want?' Scorpion demanded.

'I know that you are searching for the killer of your clan.' the man spoke with a smile. 'A good friend of mine named Shang Tsung told me.' Angst saw that the name of the sorcerer had given him the attention of this fighter. 'You know who was responsible?' Scorpion asked, showing no emotion. 'I am afraid not, otherwise i would have told you.' Angst said. 'But he has left some clues that might help finding the real killer.' He added as the yellow ninja had turned to walk away. 'I want to help you if you help our alliance and maybe we can get your clan back.'  Angst offered his hand. Scorpion looked at it for a few seconds and then shook the hand.
